ZENMED User Reviews

Those who have been around on the internet for a while won’t have failed to notice ZENMED. ZENMED (they use all capitals) are good at advertising and have a high profile through their advertising campaigns.

In fact because Zenmed use Google Adwords you can sometimes see advertisements for them here on rosacea-support.org. I have tried to turn ads for ZENMED off for this site, so hopefully you won’t see them here.

When you have a company that you don’t know much about, but has a good marketing department  it can be tricky to break through the marketing to find an answer to `Does ZENMED actually work for Rosacea ?`

RSComm: Re: Zenmed, mel63.

I just recently purchased the zenmed system for dry skin and I am very disapointed. It made things worse and I hate the smell.
Good that it as a 60 day return policy, because I am sending mine back!!

RSComm: Re: Zenmed, bentherebefore

I hate the stuff. Was very irritating on my skin, made my rosacea worse (and that was 4 years ago when my skin was much tougher!)

RSComm Re: Some questions, thanks: Jacque

am about to use ZenMed. I used it years ago when I wasnt having outbreaks, but now that I am having the outbreaks again, I am going to give it another try. I was really happy with the ZenMed cleanser. I will let you know.

How to cure a red face, Comment #56 Kim

I have tried ZenMed products which seemed to bring only temporary relief.

RSComm Re: aloemaxx, whizz-dude

I’ve tried using using Zenmed and Rosacea care line of products and none of them helped. In fact I am sure they may have exacerbated it.

RSG Message 59007, msml

I have used the Zenmed products. I like both the cleanser & the serum and still use the cleanser every morning & night. I have about 1/2 of the serum left and just switched to trying the Clinique Redness Relief cream (which contains caffeine and salicylic acid – but so far, it’s doing okay for me). I didn’t switch because I didn’t like the Zenmed – rather, I switched just because I wanted to give the Clinique a try. I didn’t notice anything  remarkable from using Zenmed – no amazing improvements, etc. – but I also didn’t have any ill effects and my skin seems to like it. It’s hard to judge what’s doing what though, because I had to start on Doxycycline for a bad ocular rosacea flare-up around the same time I began the Zenmed. My skin looks quite good right now and I guess it could be any combination of the Zenmed, Clinique CX and/or the Doxycyline. 🙂

RSG Message 9976, vicky

I’ve tried Zenmed.. I didn’t like it.. to put it mildly, IT HURT!!! I have very light sensitive skin. I have also tried the Rosacea Care line.. I love their products and absolutely no problems. I just couldn’t afford them. A little bit goes along way.. I think they are comparable in price to Zenmed.

RSG Message 55260, t0xic_honey

I’ve been using ZenMed for a while now, just ordered some more…I’ve also used rosaceacare and zinco for sunscreen, concealing etc.
I ‘ve found ZenMed to be the best for me, the most soothing and least irritating as a cleanser/moisturiser. rosaceacare was good too, but I think zenmed is better in my case.

Rosacea Forum: 17089, rachzon

tried Zenmed with no result. Didn’t make things worse though.

RSG Message 57299, griff81.rm

I have been using it for a few months and I am not impressed. It is a nice cleanser and the treatment cream smells nice, neither break
me out, but neither have lessened my rosacea either. Zenmed has DREADFUL customer service IMO so I will not be replacing my product when I run out.

RSG Message 62080, parvati412

I was diagnosed about a year ago and tried Zenmed and loved it, until they changed the formula of the serum, it just made me flush harder. I also have really sensitive skin, so I can relate. I do like the cleanser though, and have stuck with that, but now I user Eucerin extra protective lotion spf 30 and I hardly ever flush anymore.

RSG Message 92328, yana

I have tried Zenmed before and actually I stopped using it about two weeks ago. I certainly liked its effect on my skin. I think that the redness and swelling has reduced somewhat. The only reason I stopped using it was because it contains parabens and I am try to avoid them. Other than that it is a good product. By the way, I only tried Skin Serum for Redness reduction, or something like that.

esfb channel: Mila

sorry to discourage you millerlite but zenmed rosacea products are not effective. Everyone I have chatted with online who has used their products haven’t had any good results.

I personally used the zenmed rosacea support serum for about 2 weeks. During this time I started having really watery and itchy eyes so I automatically thought that I had developped ocular rosacea. But then I stopped using the zenmed cream, which by the way smells like crap and was burning my face, and my eyes returned to normal. I think there are essential oils in this product that are very irritating to the eyes and skin.

Treatment Report 431, mmsdu4

I was diagnosed with a mild case of rosacea by a clinician. I would get severe burning and flushing when under stress and from strenuous exercise. By accident, I discovered Zenmed and decided to order it. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT – especially for those of you who still suffer from redness after your laser tx. I no longer have redness and am left with some broken capillaries on my both cheeks. I had only completed one course of tx and that was last year. Severe flushing has never returned but I do get burning sensation when doing strenuous exercise. For $65 (Cdn), it’s well worth it and it’s made from natural herbs.

RF: I Hate My Face, ajjacoby

Well, it used to be my triggers would be so bad that I would turn purple. I haven’t had one of those since I began using the Zenmed. In fact, it was one of those outbreaks that caused me to start using it. We were out drinking with friends, and my girlfriend of all people says to me, “Man, you’re purple.” I’ve never felt so crappy in my life.

It has helped a tiny bit to fade the redness, but not a whole lot. I’ll notice dots on my face where it has completely healed it, but they’re pretty unnoticeable unless you’re right on top of the mirror.

  1. I agree James,

I contacted Layla above you and she promises that her comments are genuine.

By the way, I block ads from them on this site because I’m not sure that I can trust their marketing and don’t want to lend them credibility by allowing their ads to show here.

  2. Layla says:

    Hi James,

My comment is real. It’s up to you to decide if you give Zenmed a try or not, but you should know that for some of us it really works, and I hope it works for you too. I believe they have a 60 day return policy, however I have never returned anything.

    Good luck.

  3. Kathy says:

I just received Support Serum today. Have just ordered Anti-Redness Mask, but haven’t received it yet. I do not have the pimples and flaking problem. I am 58 yrs old and have had redness all of my life. I hate it! If ZENMED lessens the redness, especially on my chin, I will consider it a success. After I try it for awhile, I can report the results. I really hope this works. Am optimistic.

  4. DAVE says:

Zenmed did not work for me the anti redness mask made my skin redder and it gave me a burning sensation when i applied it the cleanser and face wash did the same all i want is to stop the redness nothing works, i am so disappointed after reading all the reviews £50 down the drain and it took 3 weeks to arrive i live in the uk i hope this helpful to fellow rosacea sufferers

  5. DAVE says:

Hi all i have just received a product i brought off amazon Eucerin daily perfecting lotion spf15 with subtle green colour neutralizers.
Well a product that works, amazing it as taken the redness down on my cheeks straight away i cannot believe it it cost £30 and as taken 11 days to arrive but it works i live in the uk i would recommend this one
hope this is useful to fellow rosacea sufferers

  6. SparkyinDenver says:

I’m new to ZenMed and love it. I’ve been using metrogel for the past 8 years and it was so slow to do anything. I accidently found ZenMed and I wish it worked for everyone. It’s been like a miracle for me. The fact that it makes the condition worse for others, makes me believe doctors call anything red and bumpy, and not acne, psorarisis, or excema, rosacea. I think it is worth a try, for $30-$60 you might get a whole new outlook on life.

  7. Mateo says:

Just ordered the ZenMed product to eliminate the redness. I hope it works. I wonder how there can be so many negative but yet really positive comments. Somebody’s lying i think… Well, theres only one way to find out.

  8. lee says:

I have acne rosacea. A client of my told me about ZenMed this afternoon . I decided to try it. I am using the Clinique redness solution but no big different on my face. just ordered the ZENMED Skin Support System for oily skin. I will post my result one week after I try this product.

  9. Marnie says:

I had to stop taking my rosacea medication as I developed an allergy to it. I found Zenmed and starting using it with not much hope. My rosacea can get out of control and look like burns on my skin. I have been using Zenmed since last March. I use the serum twice a day and the moisturizer daily. My skin goes a bit red after putting the serum on – but then – magic happens! I actually look pale some days and everyone comments on how great my skin is. If I drink or I am hot, my face flushes a bit – but then goes back to wonderful.

I am the biggest skeptic when it comes to a holistic approach – but my goodness – this works for me!

  10. Stephanie in UK says:

Zenmed – the customer service is even worse than the product. i purchased it in Sept, received it at the end of the month. My skin was burning red, as if on fire. My skin broke out in spots and my face swelled up. i had to ship the product back for a refund and did this early October. i did not get my money back until chasing them again and again in mid December. They would only refund my money through paypal so i lost some in the transaction.

  11. wayne says:

I have just purchased ZENMED for the first time to treat rosacea and hope it works. I spent thousands having “treatment” of light, creams, cleansers etc for now results. I am fed up with people assuming I have high blood pressure or drink a lot of red wine due to having a red face. It will be very disappointing to find yet another rip off for a serious condition which emotionally impacts sufferers.

  12. Lois says:

I couldn’t wait to come here & share this. I like the rest have looked for a solution for my rosacea. Zenmed ripped me off for a lot of $$; they claimed not to have received my returned product. Lots of money spent on other prescribed medications that did not work. Anyway, here is my good news: At the pharmacy, I spotted this little tube of PROSACEA for $11.00. What the heck, I bought it & three days later I see a big improvement! Go figure.

  13. Dorothy says:

I purchased the Zenmed 3 piece treatment about two months ago and it has made it WAY worse. It has now almost completely covers all of my cheeks and forehead. I have little bumps and extreme redness with dry skin that is itchy and flaky. I absolutely hate this product. I just shipped it back two days ago to get my refund. They make it very difficult to return it, with various processes. Also, because it is from Canada and I live in the US it was expensive to send it back. On top of that, they only gave me a ten day time frame to return the product after i filed the complaint. I will NEVER order from them again. I hope to get my money back.

  14. Lois says:

Dorothy, I had the exact same experience – I returned it per all the instructions & they claimed they never received it. I eventually gave up trying to get a refund.
I’m now at about 10 days with the over-the-counter PROSACEA & it works better than anything I’ve tried. For $11.00, give it a try. Good luck.

  15. Monica says:

I bought the microdermabrasion complex and I love it. It got rid of all my acne and acne scars. Now I have another problem. Redness, itching and flaking. This is because its so cold here where I live. And well because my skin is so sensitive. I loved the microdermabrasion so much that I am willing to buy another treatment. Love Zenmed.

  16. Jimmy says:

Lois; Thank you for turning me on to Procacea. I came here to find out what Zenmed was about, and it’s clear I want nothing to do with it. Their return policy tricks alone, never mind the so-called effectiveness.
Procacea reminds me of an acne treatment I tried in my youth: rub on egg white and let it dry. (it may be related as the “active” ingredient of Procacea is sulfer “X?”)
It didn’t work in the first 3 days like the packaging stated; But it did no harm, in fact I liked it initialy because it kept the flaking down. In about a week the (nose) color started matching the rest of my face. It may even be acting as a sunscreen (I don’t know for sure) but that would be great because every sun screen I’ve used made my condition worse. At $9.00 a tube (at CVS) how could I lose? THANKS

  17. Lois says:

…An update on the PROSACEA. I’m on the second little tube & am very pleased. No more breakouts & the stubborn ones that existed gradually went away. The red nose is gone. 🙂 I buy it at CVS for about $10; I’m sure other pharmacies carry it as well. Jimmy, is it still working for you?

  18. Jimmy says:

Yes Lois, I could almost call it a cure. My nose is still redder than the rest of me, but then it’s a big nose, and catches all this Florida sun when I’m sailing and surfing. I used to call myself “PurpleNose the Pirate” to the little kids. They got a big kick out of that.

I too am on my second tube ($11.00 at CVS now). I found I can “cycle” it without any remission so it lasts forever. I did a little research and it seems the “Sulphur 1X” targets a particular bacteria that many of us Rosacea’s host.

‘ Gotta beat the heck out of ZENMED. I was desperate and might have fallen for it if I hadn’t come here first.

  19. Katie says:

I’m happy that Lois and Jimmy liked Prosacea, I thought it was way too harsh on my forehead skin and made it redder, bumpier and more inflamed. I threw it right into the trash.

  20. Bom Bom says:

I have been using ZENMED for a few weeks and it has transformed my skin! I would recommend it to anyone with Rosacea. I know we all have different skin and some things work and some don’t but I have been very happy with the results. My skin before was very dry, very red with itchy bumps and spots. Since using it the spots have disappeared, the dryness has almost disappeared and the redness is reduced. Before, the itchiness would make me scratch of my make up and make my face sore. Now, I don’t touch my face all day and people have commented on how good my skin looks. I can wear my hair up again rather than around my face. The main thing for me has been the reduction in dryness and spots so that I can cover any redness with makeup.

  21. andrea says:

hi everyone i was diagnosed with rosacea about a year ago.. i know that stress can trigger this condition but im desperate at this point i need something that will actually help me. I’ve tried everything from prescription oral ointment which dried out my face to herbal medication. i dont know what else to do. does this ZENMED work does PROSACEA work?? help help help

  22. Lois says:

2 thumbs down on ZENMED. 4 thumbs up (borrowed 2 thumbs) for PROSACEA. Katie says it was too harsh on her forehead & I will say I mostly use it over & around my nose. It’s obvious from the blogs that all things don’t work the same for everyone, but PROSACEA is so inexpensive & easy to find at any pharmacy. You should know pretty quickly if it works for you. My roseacea at this time is absolutely gone!

  23. andrea says:

  24. Julie says:

I am sorry to hear how many people have had such a horrible experience with ZenMed, but personally I LOVE IT! It has not cured me for sure, but my flare ups don’t get as bad as they used to, and more importantly my skin is monumentally softer with the Cleanser/Soothing Solution combination. I will admit that I have not routinely used the anti-redness mask to truly determine if it helps or not, but the products have no negative side effects on my skin. Sensitive-skin moisturizers like neutragena have also caused major problems for me, so even finding a cleanser that doesn’t make me look like a red raccoon is enough to make me ecstatic.

  25. April says:

I’ve been using ZenMed for about 2 months now. When I began, I’d tried to take myself off of my Oracea and I’d been having one of the worst flare ups I’ve ever had. In the first two weeks of ZenMed, plus restarting the Oracea, and beginning to wash with a tea-tree oil soap – my face was brilliantly white. I felt like I was seeing my face again for the first time in years! After the first month, as my skin adjusted, my usual redness has come back – but I haven’t had any major papules and my skin’s texture is overall much softer. I have used the anti-redness mask a few times, usually before big events, and its effects last about a day. So, ZenMed hasn’t cured me – but it certainly has improved my face a bit.

I’m curious to try the Clinique Redness Solutions line, but I’m happy enough with ZenMed to finish out all these bottles first (which looks like it’ll take another few months).

  26. Dianna says:

I’ve seen people saying zenmed doesn’t have long term results but I’m sorry NOTHING does. Rosacea is a condition that can only be controlled not cured. Personally, after years of prescriptions and all sorts of OTC redness reducers I have found zenmed to be the only products that have worked and have continued to work over the past few years.

I am comfortable using this as a long term solution on my face and neck because they are made from natural herbs and good quality ingredients. Someone mentioned parabens – these were removed from the products years ago after my first order.

Overall I’m quite happy with the results I’ve gotten from zenmed products, I am happy that they are better for my skin and body than most and I find them to be a good value compared to other products advertised or perscribed.

  27. marie says:

was about to try zenmed until i read all the comments here; thankful for the sharing. i was quite suspicious of zenmed, as their advertising photo was nothing but photoshopped silliness.

i used finacea for 4 months, and it was awesome, until i developed an allergy to it, and it caused more itching than it relieved. about to try oracea, although i hate the idea of taking drugs. has anyone else tried oxy benzoyl peroxide? seems to help a bit.

  28. Jimmy says:

Marie; I know Prosacea ($11.00 @ CVS) has it’s own review-forum but I heard about it here. I found it to be a cheap, EXTERNAL solution. Give it the 4 days trial before giving it up. I found I can cycle it at about 2 month intervals. I only use it when I need it.

What I learned here about ZENMED’s selling tactics was enough to turn me off. And as for their few positive reports (ignoring the shills that slipped past the moderator), well, even pig-poo is going to work for some people.

  29. Comment via email from Andrea.

“hey everyone, a couple months back i asked about zenmed and prosacea. since then i started using prosacea because it was affordable and well i had nothing to lose. i have noticed a HUGE difference. i dont get the bumps on my cheeks and my forehead is completely CLEAR. i love this products i bought the little rube a few months back and its still pretty full. i also have been using a micro cleansing brush which has worked wonders for me.

i still have a red circle on my cheek but i can cover that with make up now that the bumps are gone. i would definitely recommend this product. i know all skin types are different but for 7 or 8 bucks it is more then worth it. hope this helps and good luck to everyone out there dealing with this horrible rosacea. horrible on self esteem!! “

  30. momojgh says:

i ‘m confused does the zenmed products work for rosacea or not?

  31. Jimmy says:

momojgh; These are “Reviews”. You’ll have to read them and judge for yourself which ones you believe. If after reading other people’s experiences you think you might want to plunk down the bucks ($60.00 of ’em I think) and try it, then please do it and come back here and tell us how it worked for you.

After studying what was exposed here, I chose to keep my money and try something else. Your choice.

  32. Heather says:

I am surprised at how many people that don’t like this product!
I love it. Will never try anything else.
I wonder, however, if it is because I have only a mild case. I also wonder if I am having success because I am using the entire line, including the supplements. I have noticed significant reduction of redness, also of sun damage, and only one break out in the 4 months I’ve been using it.

  33. kim says:

I have been using ZENMED for 4 yrs now, and if you look at pictures of my face now compared to then my redness has reduced a 100%.

  34. Lois says:

I think we are agreed that not every product works for everyone. My issue with Zenmed is more about the way they do business. It took longer than expected to arrive, and the clock was ticking on my refund date once it was shipped. I had fewer days to test the product, but when it made the rosacea worse I returned it exactly as instructed. They claimed they never received it. After several months of dealing with this overseas company, I gave up. Not only was it a pricey purchase, but I paid a costly return as well. You could not pay me to do business with these people.

  35. Amy says:

My mother-in-law surprised me with the ZENMED products she found online. I have terrible bumps and redness on my cheeks, nose, and chin and decided I didn’t have anything to lose. I just put it on for the first time. It smells funny but it doesn’t burn or feel uncomfortable. I really hope this works because I’m tired of looking like a blotchy monster.

  36. Jen says:

I have been using Zenmed for 8 weeks now. The products DO NOT do as they promise on the website. My flare ups are worse and more often then ever before. The redness has moved into more places then what I had in the past. I am returning the product and hoping to not have any issues with getting my money back. Keep in mind the return are in Canada and has to be there by a certain time period. Allow for this timing if you return your product. Beware of their promises and I highly suggest to not use this product, don’t waste the money or time. I am now going back to the dermatologist to see if there are any new products out for my face. I can’t afford those IPL facials!

  37. Jimmy says:

Thanks Jen. It’s reveiws like yours that saved me $’s & trouble. Let us know how the money back guarantee works out. ( Prosacea, reviewed here:

    $11.00 @ CVS )

  38. Cheryl says:

I like this stuff, and have been using many different zenmed products for the last 3 years. It has completely controlled my acne and some of my past scarring. I have suffered chronic acne since I was a teenager and all the way through my adult life, I have tried so many different things through the years that didn;t work, I highly recommend Zenmed for results.

  39. Irena says:

I’ve been using Zenmed rosacea products for 2 month. IT DOESN’T WORK.
Before I bought it, I tried to do my research and read a lot of reviews, most of them positive. Unfortunately I was inspired by those reviews and did not look carefully at the ingredients. It looks like there is nothing new, no scientific brake through in the formula of ZenMed products. Now I am asking a question to myself, if there is nothing new in ZenMed products, why we should expect the miraculous cure from there product? Why there are reviews with the rave about this products and miracles this product performed for the people? I honestly hope that this product somehow helped to some people, but for now, I am sure that at least 80 or 90% of the overexcited positive reviews are just marketing trick.

  40. heather says:

I strongly believe that those who have success with Zenmed might be users with less severe cases. I have had great results, and even better moisturization to my dry forehead. Please don’t be discouraged if you have mild rosacea.
