Soolantra is Galderma’s Ivermectin 1% Cream

Written by on December 17, 2014 in Galderma, Ivermectin, Soolantra (Ivermectin Cream 1%) with 3 Comments

OK, I’m going to scoop everyone and say that Galderma is going to launch their 1% Ivermectin Cream as Soolantra.

I haven’t seen anything official but today I saw 2 new big hints that Soolantra will be the new product name.

Here’s what I know;

  • Galderma has registered Soolantra as a trademark and likes to use these sorts of made up words.
  • I can see some traffic coming to my honeypot forum posting featuring registered but unused product names
  • I see on linkedin a former product manager at Galderma, Kelly Zaroukian mentioning their work on Mirvaso and something called Soolantra.

So I’m going to call it and say that Soolantra is the new product name for CD5024.

In the event I’m wrong, please humor me wanting to recklessly speculate.

[update:] Galderma has now announced that Soolantra (ivermectin 1% cream) has been approved for the inflammatory lumps and bumps of rosacea.

    Hello to all,
    Does anyone know if this will be Rx? cost? availability?
    Thanks

    • Definitely prescription only and price and availability are still unknown. More details about how much to expect to pay and how long before you can actually try it via your doctor will emerge in the early months of 2015.
