rosacea-ltd-disks

Rosacea-LTD has been around as a rosacea treatment since before the Rosacea Support Group even existed.

Rosacea-LTD has been discussed on rosacea forums on the internet for a long time. In fact one of the first message I posted in 1998 was looking for some feedback on this product. The fact that the company is still in business is a good sign.

If you want further proof of the longevity of this company and of the product – see the internet wayback machine’s capture of the Rosacea-LTD web site from way back in June 1998.

What is Rosacea-LTD?

This product consists of 2 compressed disks of various salts and sulphur. You gently slide the product over wet skin, leaving a tiny amount of the product on your skin. One of the disks is used for the day, and the other for the night.

Rosacea-LTD Worked for me

I have used these for a few years in the past and there are many rosacea-support members who have also found them useful. I kept using them for quite a long time because I was happy that they were shrinking my papules and pustules – and thus were helping to reduce the redness. The benefit continued over the course of about a year as I worked at reducing the inflammation of a red and acne looking nose.

Compared to a rosacea treatment that comes in a tube that lasts only 2 months, or a box of tablets that lasts a single month, Rosacea-LTD is a bargain!

Rosacea LTD Disks Personal History, Debbie Gallegos

I was that convinced after only 2 weeks that the new product was far superior for treating my skin condition than anything I had ever tried before over the 14 years. And the dilated veins are almost all but gone, the itchy is gone, and my skin no longer feels bumpy. And it worked being tested initially during the greatest challenge I face yearly, summer sun, heat and dry wind that is so prevalent in my area of California.  Normally I wouldn’t bother to take the time to write a company back about their product if I liked it. I would just keep using it, and that would be my testament to it. But I know how lousy this condition can make you feel, both physically and emotionally, and if I can encourage anyone else suffering out there to give this a try, then my few minutes spent writing this was well worth it. What have you got to lose, except maybe the suffering? Anyone feel free to write me personally if you need more reassurance. Thanks Rosacea Ltd!.

Rosacea Ltd papules pustules, Pat Lucey

I didn’t notice much of a change for about a week, but then I discovered that I wasn’t getting any new papules, and that the redness in my face was starting to fade.  It improved every week after that.  After about a year of daily use, my breakouts were confined to my cheeks and chin, with occasional dots on my nose after a particularly bad flush.  The condition of my skin continues to improve (I’ve been using the disks for 3 years now), but it’s not just the disks, although they help quite a bit.

Rosacea ltd III disks

Hi SC, I’ve had the same problem occasionally, but have found the disks to be very effective … Best of luck to you. The disks have dramatically improved my skin, but they have taken a little experimentation.

Rosacea LTD Discs

I have talked to other people and they say the same about the yellow (it has more sulphur) in it and i am allergic to sulphur drugs so I was really worried about using the rosacea discs but topically is supposed to be different than internally. I really find them better than the metrogel.

Rosacea-Ltd Ingredients

The Rosacea-Ltd web site lists the ingredients of their product as zinc oxide, sodium chloride, iron oxide, copper oxide, cornstarch, polyethylene glycol, and sulfur

This product is only available at the Rosacea-LTD website at www.rosacea-ltd.com.

I tried it…it’s no better then any of the other “Over the Counter” products. I had great hope…but after 3 weeks and drinking millions of gallons of water. And rubbing the disk over my face. I gave up! I called Boney directly. They said I wasn’t following the directions..and I was not using the product the way it was supposed to be used! Bull crap!…Yea..go figure..I;’m shocked..LOL.
    They didn’t help at all.
    SO..Buyer Beware!

    SO..as for now..it’s laser’s and creams..and prayers!

    Go Sansrosa!!!! 🙂

  2. Hi,

I think it is important to try to work out the best and most recommended way to use all rosacea treatments. It would also of course depend on what sort of symptoms you had.

As far as Sanrosa is concerned, we have saying in the software industry something like “nothing ever works as well as the next release” – meaning that things always look promising when you don’t have it in your hand to play with. The reality when something arrives is often different to how you anticipated. So lets not diss what we currently know and understand too much until we know for sure what sansrosa is going to really give us.

Its kind of expensive, but it is well worth it. No over the counter or store products will work for rosacea. Dermatalogists also do not really know what they are talking about. The key to stopping the redness is a gentle cleanser, jojobo oil, rosacea ltd, mineral make-up (if you are a girl), lots of water and juice, and a health diet. I personally do not think rosacea exist, I think the skin gets red because it is irritated by something that you put on it or something that you put in it. That is why gentle products and a healthy diet is necessary. Rosaea LTD works great for rendness that is already there, and to stop flares. I used to get flares, and I have not had one since I started the product, and started eating healthy.

    Hi,

I suffer from rosacea and I have been using the rosacea ltd. product for about 3 months now. All I can say is that this is the only natural product that has worked really well for me. Yes you need to have patience, to follow the instructions well and to do the water and diet suggestions that they make but it is 100% totally worth it.

I’ve spent so much money with naturopaths, herbalists skin experts, dermatologists and none of it worked half as well as this product for very little money. The drugs that the doctors give you have so many nasty side affects and I really believe that they make things so much worse.

I would recommend that people try this product but the results will depend on your consistency with application and your dedication to diet and water consumption.

I have never written on a website before about anything but I am really excited about my own results so I do encourage you to try it out.

  5. Fran says:

I have been using rosacea ltd 11 years. Prior to that, nothing would work anymore. It calmed down the redness and soaked up some of the excess oil in my face. It won’t work for everyone but it is worth a try.

Hi. I’m a 26 year old from Asia. It’s great to see a support org for rosacea sufferers. I just want to share my story. I suspect that I have had rosacea for years but it was only recently that I found out such a skin disorder existed. I was very disappointed because for years, I have consulted a few doctors regarding my skin concerns, but none of them has even considered rosacea. Recently, there are lots of bumps on my nose and they seem to be multiplying. Before, I think it was only two, and I’m not sure anymore if those were formed from acne. I also have large pores in my nose. I noticed that the skin tone on my face is very different to that of my hand. I consulted with a derma recently, I asked if I could be a candidate for rosacea. But she said she doubted so. She was thinking that it was ONLY RHINOPHYMA! I researched and found out in some sites that Rhinophyma is a form or Rosacea. Is that correct?
I dont know what to do anymore. There seems to be no experts in dermatology here in my area. I am very conscious about it.Please help. Thanks

  7. Rosaeca Ltd WORKS! says:

Ive been using these disks for only about a week now but already showing terrific results.
I have mild acne particularly on my nose and during my younger years was not very careful with the sun so i developed rosacea.

First of all the ‘Rosacea Ltd’ website is absolutely fantastic, really honest and unbaised thoroughly researched advise as to the symptoms, causes and remedies for this health issue. One of the best websites i have ever been on, if followed correctly it will change your life! Its not just about drinking water as some others have mentioned but changing habits and attitude for the better. I found the topics on acidity and alkaline foods and and of the direct links to rosacea as particularly enlightening information. Here is a link for convenience: http://www.rosacea-ltd.com/

I found the disks to particularly help with excessive sebum production. And over the many years of trying to cure this seemingly chronic problem, I have increasing sensitive skin. I feel there is no harm in trying the disks as all the ingredients are natural and also naturally anti-imflamatory. Quick word of advise, Please stop scrubbing your skin!

Overall i couldnt reccomend a better product and company as they clearly only want whats best for us, a natural product which does not aggrivate skin and dedicated factual information which is more to be said than most other companies only here to make a quick buck at our expense. Once again the website is a MUST!

    Cheers, Alan

  8. Janet says:

I’ve been using these disks for about a year, and for me, they work really well – much better than anything my dermatologist has given me, including Metrogel and antibiotics (which I stopped using.)

I was initially skeptical about spending that much money on the disks, but decided to go ahead and try them since my dermatologist’s efforts weren’t helping, and I’m SO glad I did.

I haven’t really changed what I’m eating (although I’m sure that would help), and I’d accidentally left them at home when I went on a long vacation, and got out of the habit of using them. By the time I got home, my face was breaking out again with papules and pustules. I started using my antibiotics again (but not the disks), and my face continued to get worse, even when I upped the antibiotic dosage. It wasn’t until I remembered the disks and started using them (and stopped using the antibiotics) that my face began improving again. I was probably off the disks for 2.5 months. My papules and pustules were almost completely gone within three weeks.

All I can say is that for me, they work, and I have no hesitation about recommending them.

  9. Gary says:

I have been using the disks for about 4 months. Only the yellow one works for me and only once a day. The results have been very good so far. I have found that a small amount of aloe vera sun burn lotion once or twice a day really helps a lot along with the disks.

  10. Mike says:

I just started this 10 days ago and the first few days it seemed to be working and then all of a sudden after I using the brown disk my face would just start itching. I started using the yellow disk yesterday and it seemed not to itch as much and actually was working but this morning I put it on and it felt fine but now my face is itching again and my rosacea seems to be getting worse and it is not containing it. I want to scratch my face off at this point because it is itching so bad. I also use jojoba oil because i have dry skin.

  11. Maria says:

I started this yesterday morning. It was ok during the day, but after I applied the yellow disk at night in the morning I noticed a few bumps. I thought that it was part of the program and applied the brown disk and progerssing itchiness at around 3 in the afternoon I had a severe swelling and redness and itching. I suppose I had an allergic reaction of sorts. I am staying away from this stuff as I think I am allergic. Has anyone else had this reaction?

  12. Mike says:

An update from me… Well it has been about 3 weeks now and still no change in my skin. Actually i am seeing more red spots and my forehead is the worst I have ever seen, I contacted B&B and they replied back to fill out another qustionaire to make sure I am using it correclty. I am using it according to the letter I initially received.I am drinking a minimum of 10 glasses of water a day and have even started eating fruits high in alkaline but nothing is working. At least when I used Finacea it kept my forehead pretty clean. I wonder if using finacea along with this product would be good?

  13. Maria says:

Mike, I would stop using if I were you . If you are having anything close to the reaction I am having that is a good reason to not use this stuff. Could be you are allergic to the ingredients and are doing damage to your skin. Sigh, Why couldn’t this be on my ass instead of my face!lol! I would do the diet thing, stop the Rosacea LTD and see how that goes.
I called them up and they were very nice and told me to return the stuff, which I will. This has been a disaster for me and all I can say is I am glad I have no parties or engagements cause I am in hiding till this clears up….
I have severe redness and itching and the skin on my cheeks looks like chopped meat. This is just from one day!
I was told to just use jojoba oil and cleanse with a mild cleanser.
Hope that will work to bring me to where I was before which was 1,000 times better than this!
Guess it does not work for everyone.

  14. Mike says:

    Maria,
Well my face is still the same but it looks like the rosacea has just taken over and the disks don’t seem to help. They do itch for a little bit after the application but then that subsides. I’m sorry to hear about your reaction. There must be an ingredient that your skin cannot tolerate. LOL! yeah if it were on my ass I wouldn’t care either! I wish I could hide but I work in IT technology and I have to be in the office. 🙁

  15. maria says:

Yeah people who try to find something alternative to the metrogel are just trying to get some relief from this. I have had rosacea for 15 years now and it off and on. For women I think it has something to do with hormones, and it could be for men as well, but I know mine acts up and calms down during certain times.
The best thing to do is drink loads of water and not use anything but a light cleanser adn jojoba oil or even a light moisterizer. I use homemade soap which is great for rosacea and mostly nothing else. The soap itself contains a lot of moisteriers so need for that step which I guess helps a little.
I wanted to get rid of it for good, but that backfired…I suppose the key is to control it with mild mild stuff and eating healthy.Carrots!
And I will NEVER AGAIN use something that I got over the internet! Not unless it has been proven and approved and is in the papers all over the world!
Till then, we have to be patient.

    Hi,

I am wanting to contact the company as i have had my rosacea LTD for over a year and haven’t used, touched or even opened it basically i was scared to make my rosacea worse!

I basically want to know if i can now use the discs (i’ve finally realised i have nothing to lose).

I’ve tried to look on their website and tried every possible way to send the email but it just comes back as failed.

Can anyone help with the email details.?

    Thanks

  17. maria says:

    Hi all here,
I had no luck with the disks they actually worsened my rosacea to the point I thought I was going to be disfigured, I guess I was allergic or something. I returned the disks and had my money refunded, so that was good. I used the email provided here.
I wanted to say that to heal my face I used a regimen of Noxema followed by colloidal oatmeal (avveeno oatmeal bath packets). I made a thin paste with the oatmeal powder and let it dry for around 10 minutes. Wash off, pat dry and use only jojoba oil after you have finished cleansing. THat not only healed the skin but has proved to be very effective. I use the oatmeal once a week now and the noxema & jojoba every day. Hope this helps someone! Also, drink LOTS of water.

  18. Ljohn I sent you an email about you contact issues.

  19. Yvonne says:

Maria, could you please explain to me your noxema regime? What is it? how it looks like?
    thanks a lot

  20. maria says:

Hi Yvonne. You can get Noxzema at the pharmacy, most stores sell it. It’s a sunburn remedy basically. I wash with it in the morning and then use jojoba oil and then again at night. Once or twice a week get aveeno oatmeal bath packets. Put a bit in your hand and add some warm water to make a paste. Put on your dry face (after doing the wash with Noxama) and let dry for 10 minutes, Rinse with warm water . Noxzema is pretty cheap as well. Lately , the rosacea has been better so I am now just using homemade oatmeal soap and derma e face lotion with hyralonic acid. It seems to be working nicely as well. I will wash will Noxema on a day when I am feeling itchy, but that stuff saved my life! Hope it works for you!

  21. Abhi says:

    Hi All,

Good to find a company of rosacea people.

I am living in Tennessee and it feels I am the only one having this rosacea.

Maria, I am really impressed by your comments and hard work you are doing.

I have decided to follow your regime and lets see what I get.

    Thanks again to everyone. !!

  22. Maria says:

GOod luck Abhi! I know rosacea can be annoying but having a good attitude (finding ways to deal with stress) eating healthy and drinking LOTS of water helps a lot. I am currently trying to eat more carrots as well and have had good results. Vitamin A and the stuff that makes carrots orange is good for your complexion! Carrots also detox your body and THAT is key. Also, I cut down on chocolate, that is killer for me but chocolate make me itchy for days, and sugar. I use honey and maple syrup as sweeteners. IF anyone has success with diet please let me know! I am thinking that allergens in food may have more to do with rosacea than we think.
    I am also trying to
cut down on gluten and dairy. (Cheese is also a trigger for me).
In short, keep track of your diet and you may notice it more.
I am eating oatmeal for breakfast and although it has gluten it is so far working well. Also yogurt , but no cheeses. Maybe the process that makes cheese is the culprit? Not going to drive myself crazy, I am just trying to get results!
    Good luck to all!
    Maria.

  23. JerryL says:

    Hello everybody,

I have been using Rosacea-Ltd for 5 months now. I believe it has helped me out greatly. I was trying to find a site where I could see other peoples review on this product and it seems to me that there is a mixed feeling on this.

But it reminds me of others products that were prescribed to me that didn’t work either and cost a lot more.

  24. Maria says:

    Hi Jerry,
I am happy it worked for you , it was horrible for me. People thought I was a burn victim for a couple of weeks, just awful.I suppose I have a sensitivity to sulphur as that is the main ingredient. Good luck to you!
    Maria

  25. Kate says:

I have had a great result from the Rosacea Ltd and just really wanted to encourage people to try it — as long as they’re OK with sulphur, of course! I’m breastfeeding and had the most amazing attack of what turned out to be rosacea about eight months ago. I wasn’t diagnosed for ages and tried lots of natural remedies in the meantime, thinking it was post-natal hormonal acne or something of the kind. It was severe! But between the discs and upping my water intake (4L a day is a lot but it is possible) my skin is now pretty much better. I will continue with the discs to address occasional pustules and keep working on the redness, but the dreadful ridges and blanket of whiteheads are gone. I can hardly believe it. I thought I was going to look like that forever.

    Kate

  26. Mike says:

    Hi all!
I just wanted to report back that even though my rosacea was getting worse when I first started the disks that now my face is clearer than it has been in a long time. I started out drinking tons of water and eating better but now my water intake has gone back down to maybe 3 glasses a day but the only thing I have now is a little redness on my cheeks. Every now and then a red spot will show up but that is usually because I have eaten something that I know I shouldn’t and it usually goes away withing two days. The only issue I have is the disks make my face smell like a burnt match! LOL…
I started the disks last February and you can see my comment above and my job being in IT. I didn’t see instant results but after about a month or so my face did start clearing up. So if you can handle the smell then stick with it. My regimine is I wash my face twice a day and use pure jojoba oil each time after I wash it. I use Dove soap only on my face and I also shave my face with just the jojoba oil. I think a lot of my problem was with having dry skin but now it’s moist and I actually look younger! I need to order a new set of disks as mine are almost gone but I see they raised the price to 98 dollars. Oh well it is worth it for me. Good luck to everyone!

  27. MAR says:

    Hello everyone,

i have had this redness for around 9 years , i started notice it i thought that was not normal to have my face red all the time, but i didn’t even know about this condition. i went to several doctors and all had different opinion. everything that they gave me made me get worst. so the latest doctor gave me metrogel, which since i started using i got terrible, so i stopted it.
i feel so sad because i don’t find anything that really help me, i try to don’t eat bad things to trigger more my condition, also i was thinking to do a laser ipl procedure, that i heard it is good for rosacea. today i was trying to search info about rosacea and i found this rosacea ltd, i don’t know exactly what it it,, but your comments are helpful. propably i will like to try it

  28. cyndi says:

I found metrogel to have niacinamide in it which imflamed my papules horribly. Why
they put that ingredient in the base is beyond me. I only have nose tip swelling and
no redness except for the big bumps where the capillary seems to have burst
under the skin. They stay red and hurt for weeks on end. Lasers mostly help with
the redness and so I am a poor candidate for laser treatment. One laser specialist
only treats rosacea involving redness. It is usually either IPL or pulse dye which goes deepter. I think the pulse dye laser is what works the best since this is an
    underlying circulatory problem.

  29. Kim says:

I just started Rosacea ltd a few days ago. Have only used 3 applications. My instructions say to use the yellow disk at night and the tan disk in the morning. Before I started using the disks I majorly increased my water intake and really watched what I was eating. My skin improved drastically in just a few days. I was getting really excited at the prospect of having clear skin. I then started the disks and thats when things changed. I seemed to have had a reaction (or it iniated a flare-up) with the yellow disk. A couple hrs after I used it last night I started to break out with bumps and became very red and inflamed. It burned a lot and itched. I didn’t use the tan disk this morning because it was still the same and I didn’t want to irritate it further. Throughout the day today my symptoms actually got worse. Trying to figure out if the break out last night was from the disk or just coincidence even though I did not eat anything that I shouldn’t have or do anything different. If it was a reaction from the disk did it get worse today because of the anxiety that I get every time I have a break out? I am going to call the company tomorrow to see if they can offer me any suggestions. Maybe just sticking with the tan disk for awhile? Not sure. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am at my wits end with this and not sure where to turn to next.

  30. Hates the colour red says:

    Hi Kim,

I have been using the rosacea LTD for over a month now and I also had the same reaction. I was told to us the yellow in the morning.

When I first used the tan at night my goodness it hurt/stung after I had applied it. It got worse much worse for about a week and I contemplated ditching them and running the antibiotics. Luckily my parents were staying with me and with their encouragement I continued and it did get better. Now the tan doesn’t bother me so much just a slight tingle. I did though for about a week use it every other night.

Ive started the yellow in the morning and this has had a similar effect so I am on every other day until I feel I comfortable with it.

I’ve noticed my skin feels softer (perhaps the jojoba oil) I’m not getting as many P&ps and maybe the redness has diminished a little. It does get redder after application of the yellow but hopefully it will go like it did with the tan. I have not been so great with the water but am trying.

I wonder why they said to you to use the yellow at night and me in the day?!

I hope you hear back from bass and boney as I find they are not very good a prompt replies and I’ve had a few rude emails back.

Good luck and chin up. Let us know how you go on x

  31. Hates the colour red says:

P.s they told me in the info if you get irritation to miss a day or two and to apply only a small small amount. I swipe it on my wet face and then smooth it around with my wet hand. X

  32. Kim says:

I contacted B&B regarding the irritation from the Rosacea Ltd disks. The woman that I talked to said that the yellow one can cause irritation and to just try using the tan one and only a small amount. I tried that yesterday morning after skipping a few dosings altogether…I put on such a small amount that I’m not even sure if it actually went on..therefore not causing any irritation. I used the tan again last night and all was good until I woke up in the morning and saw increased reddness and some bumps. The only difference was that I did not feel any discomfort such as itching or burning like I did with the yellow. Hmmmm…I am stumped. I contacted B&B again in the hopes of talking to someone else that could offer some sort of explanation. I did speak to someone else but her response was to wait a couple days and try again or return them. Not the answer that I want to hear. I want to hear something that will give me hope of these things actually working. I will probably wait a day and try again in the morning however I won’t use it at night and see what that does. Not sure what else to do other than that. I’ve pretty much given up on my dermatologist as they don’t even want to listen to what I have to say..only write prescriptions that don’t work. Why aren’t there experts out there that deal with this? Why are we left to deal with this alone? So tired of thinking about this and having it consume my entire life. I no longer want this to determine my self-worth.

  33. Mike says:

    @Kim,
When i first started the discs I used only the yellow one at night for a week and then started with the tan in the morning and yellow at night. I also increased my water intake and use jojoba oil twice a day on my face. For the first month my face was the worst it had ever been. The discs burned and itched my face but that went away after about 2 months. After about a month i noticed my face clearing up and I have been using the discs for over a year now and my face has never looked or felt better. Sometimes I will get a red spot every now and then but it usually is gone in a day or two. I almost ditched the product after the first two weeks because my face felt irritated but I kept with it and I will never buy anything else. The last time i saw my Derm he wanted to prescribe Oracea and I did not want to do that since I don’t like the fact of using antibiotics for that long. Even in low doses.
Give it a chance to work! It is not an overnight cure and it will take time for your skin to heal. Feel free to contact me at mykey122@yahoo.com if you want.

  34. Kim says:

    Mike,
Thanks for your input and advice. Why is the skin getting so irritated though? Shouldn’t it be doing the opposite? I guess I’m afraid of using them through the irritation and inflammation and it still not work. But… I’m also afraid to not use them because of what is happening to my face without anything. My rosacea has progressed very quickly over the past year and I’m scared to think about what it will be in another years time. Good news though, the irritation and slight breakout that I received from last nights application is gone, however, I did not apply this morning. I am drinking a TON of water, eating WAY better and using the jojoba oil 2x a day. I really like the jojoba oil a lot and wish I knew about it along time ago. Have the discs helped you with the reddness as well or just the p&p’s?

  35. Mike says:

    Kim,
I did the exact same thing as you with water and eating better. I am not sure why it irritates the skin at first other than maybe a sensitivity to the ingredients. I had mild rosacea for years and mainly just redness on my cheeks but it got worse when i started working out and I got papules. My redness is gone now except for when i get hot or workout and no bumps whatsoever. I have some pics of my face before and after and I would gladly post them here if there was a way to do so.
Keep up the fight! I know how it feels and honestly I saw this product a few years ago but never wanted to try it because i didn’t think it would work ,since any medicine I took really didn’t help then how could this? But it did! It might not work for everyone but I had great results with it and it certainly costs less than any prescription I had taken.

  36. Hates the colour red says:

    @mike
I am using the disks too for maybe 5 weeks. I have noticed a slight improvement but not as impressive as you have said. I was just wondering if you noticed it becoming better once you started using both?

I was told to use the yellow in the morning?! I wonder why this is?

I perhaps also need to up my water and my diet is ok apart from the little bit of chocolate but that’s a craving from it being my time of the month.

It’s a real hard slog and the urge to run to the antibiotics is hard.

I keep popping back and having a read of your and others comments to keep me going and the fact I have noticed an improvement even if it is slight. So I will keep going for a few more months.

  37. erika says:

hi all, i have rosacea for more than 10years, and have tried so many products, acids, pils, took so many antibiotics, had laser wich did help for a while, after the laser i’ve discovered purple emu products and used it for a year and had good results, and last september decided to give a go to these discs and still using them. Thanks for this site. I’m about to order the discs, but I wonder what role alcohol plays in rosacea? I drink a couple glasses of wine most days, and wonder if that’s enough to turn my nose red, or is it rosacea, or a combination?

Hi Diane. From what I understand alcohol and especially wine can greatly increase flushing. I’m sure its a combination of the two but from what I read it is a big trigger with most people. Good luck.

Hi, I have the redness and spider viens on cheeks with papules on neck and face. I was wondering if anyone has heard of Rosecea papules appearing on there sides about 4 inches under arm pit. They look like the ones on face and neck but I have never heard of any in that area. Just wondering, Im not due to go back to Dermatologist for a bit. Thanks
