Rock Creek Pharmaceuticals Trialing Anatabloc (Anatabine) for Rosacea

STAR SCIENTIFIC, INC. ANATABLOCA newly listed clinical trial will examine the safety the product known as Anatabloc as well as how it affects the appearance of rosacea skin.

According to the wikipedia article Anatabine is “one of the minor alkaloids found in plants in the Solanaceae family, which includes the tobacco plant and tomato that has been shown to affect monoamine oxidase (MAO) activity.”

Anatabine is also one of the ingredients in the smoking alternative dietary supplement, CiGRX, developed by Rock Creek Pharmaceuticals and is also being examined as a treatment for inflammatory diseases as well as alzheimers.

A Study to Evaluate the Safety, Tolerability, and Effects of Anatabloc Crème in Rosacea

Estimated Enrollment: 120

Study Start Date: November 2012

Estimated Study Completion Date: December 2013

Estimated Primary Completion Date: December 2013

This is a multi-site, four-visit, eight-week, double-blind, randomized, vehicle-controlled, parallel-group study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and potential effects of Anatabloc Facial Cream. The secondary aim is to evaluate if Anatabloc Facial Cream improves the appearance of the skin in subjects with mild to moderate rosacea.

Primary Outcome Measures: (Time Frame: 8 weeks) Collected information of the safety, tolerability and adverse events, and subjective experience related to the use of Anatabloc Cream by subjects

Secondary Outcome Measures:  (Time Frame: 8 weeks) Change in the appearance of the facial skin

    Another product that says they send you a special trial a and then immediately starts sending you a monthly supply and auto billing your credit card but hide instructions as to how to cancel this. If the products worked they would not need to use these tactics to make sales of their ver expensive products.
