Subject:  [rosacea] Product list!

Well, as promised, here is the product list…  I will post some more info about the Sher system and its ingredients in the next week or so.  If anyone who is sending me updates/additions to the list could stick to the same format then that would be smashing.

First, some comments:

  1. Don’t use a washcloth. Use your hands to put on and splash off cleansers. Make sure you wash and rinse your hands thouroughly first. Make sure you’re /really/ gentle when rubbing in cleansers and make sure your face is 100% wet first. Rinse things off gently and by splashing up to 20 times.  Use a soft, /clean/ towel to pat your face dry.  Most people find success by applying moisturisers straight after drying when the face is still slightly moist.
  2. Don’t ‘overwash’ the skin. This may cause sensitivity – our skins are very intollerant of friction/irritation.

Comments: Another one recommended by many. Very gentle, but seems to be nicely antibacterial – I use this followed by moisturiser, then the Sher System SOS lotion on my chin and it seems to have got rid of the mild acne I got there.

Available from: It is available on the Web, I ordered it there from a French firm… Also available from some drug stores in the US. Costs about 10 uk pound sterling including P&P to the UK from france.  The website is something like www.parfume.com ?  Do a search from YAHOO….

Comment: I use this whenever I have really bad flaking. I get this especially just outside the red patches on my cheeks. This ALWAYS helps to stop the flaking.  Very good. I don’t use it all over my face however, because it contains some alcohols. I only use it when certain patches get really rough and flaky.  It’s also great on dry patches on the body.

I have been trying for years to find the right moisturizer for my skin, which despite being super oily and prone to breakouts, dries up and flakes in certain areas. It’s been so severe that I have not been able to wear make-up, because it would just accentuate it.

From the first day I used the Vitamin Enhanced Moisturizer (from the Made from Earth skincare line), the problem was eradicated. It was heavy but NOT oily, and the dry spots were gone! Not only that, but my skin was wonderfully clear and soft.

After I ran out of this, I tried using a more expensive Estee Lauder cream, and the dryness was back in a few days. Yes, the price tag is a bit steep, and as some reviewers have mentioned, but its is HYPOallergic and worth it to avoid any reactions – perfect for those of us like me with ULTA sensitive skin.

Definitely give it a try is you have tried everything and nothing seems to work – This moisturizer is well worth looking into!
