FORT WORTH — What recession?
Francois Fournier is a happy French executive who since June 2009 has been president of the Fort Worth-based North American unit of Galderma Laboratories, a Swiss dermatological products company that clearly suffered no pain during the Great Recession.

"We are directly funding Phase IV [post-approval research on various dermatology conditions] as well as basic research on new treatments for rosacea, acne, psoriasis and skin cancer" at regional institutions, including the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, Mike Voigt, director of human resources, said in an email.
Galderma History
Galderma was originally a Texas Company in 1961, Owen Laboratories. Acquired by Alcon in 1972. Nestle bought Alcon in 1977 and transferred it to a joint venture with L’Oreal in 1981.
