How much does Soolantra cost?

Postby David Pascoe » Thu Jan 08, 2015 3:21 pm

That is the $100 question - how much will rosacea sufferers be shelling out to be able to use soolantra.

Knowing how long this product has been in development I fear that Galderma will be charging very similar prices for Soolantra as they have done for Mirvaso. (See How much does Mirvaso cost?)

Stay tuned as early adopters of Soolantra post their experiences online and tell us what they had to pay.

Read lots more about Soolantra.

When I picked up my Soolantra, BCBS "negotiated" the CVS price to $235. With the Galderma coupon I only paid $25!

I paid only $25 at Walmart due to the Galderma coupon. It would have been $325 without my insurance and $285 with my insurance. When I went to get the prescription refilled my insurance told me that after this refill they would no longer cover soolantra. They recommended I switch to Metrogel. I used Metrogel and found it ineffective so that is not an option for me. I'm wondering now if I will still be able to use the Galderma coupon now that my insurance won't pay for soolantra. If anyone has had success getting the discount without insurance please post a response.

All the best to continuing to get it for $25 ! - especially if it continues to work for you.

I'm seeing that the price for Soolantra in the U.S. is still at about $330. Galderma offers a discount program but unfortunately I do not qualify for it. I've seen some websites such as "HelpRx" that say that when using their free card at a pharmacy you can get "up to 75% off" the retail price. Has anybody used those drug discount cards? How much of a discount do you actually get?
