Sodiul sulfacetamide versus soolantra

Postby hlcox1209 » Fri Jul 21, 2017 5:38 pm

So I am back to using the sulfacetamide wash, because it helps so much with the redness and flushing. My left cheek is almost clear and the right has a few stubborn bumps but they are starting to clear. Just a night or two of this wash makes a big difference. In what I have read and understand, sulfur kills mites. Soolantra kills mites. Why then does the soolantra cause a flare of symptoms and the sulfur doesn't? Also, the soolantra is in a base of cetaphil, which worries me, as the cetaphil face wash doesn't agree with my skin. Another reason I am hesitant to add the soolantra. Has anyone who used the soolantra and had issues thought that it could be the cetaphil component, ingredients?

Right now I am only using the wash and taking doxy 100mg once daily. Upping the doxy to twice daily and the minocycline once daily both made me flush constantly. (:|
