demodex mites
demodex mites
after 10 years of having demodex trying every chemical every cream etc i could think of , I had a revelation of all the things that keep it at a minimum inside so its not so active are the things to not use on the outside and all it loves to give it the conditions to thrive in use on the out side ie create the environment on the outside of your skin but first you must reduce the layers of skin and the build up and build up the sysyten from the inside i have demodex from head to toe . after 6 weeks of different treatments i yesterday used something that i was trying out for ny beauty business when the most amazining thing happened the mites well if thats what they are they actually are very much like a long flat worm or a skinny long worm so i discovered that all these years ive only been getting out bits and pieces . I would like to share witha ll of you who have gone the hell of living with demodex this story . 6 weeks ago i began led treatment at home with a ked light from made by dpl i started of wwith the smaller skin physics mhand held and discovered the redness in my rosacea had all but disappeared as well as age spots but also found my wrinkles seemed to increase tenfold . after 4 weeks of use . i bought a larger dpl led light therapy machine over the net . in the last week i proceeded to do microdermabrasion on myself with two diff levels of diamond heads the machine i bought from china over the net has also a microcurrent device i also used this all over my face . 2weeks ago i did a light 30%glycolic peel followed by led and led everday since . this week did again followed by the cold hammer on this machine and dpl led again , yesterday i did led , had ashower while still hot and pores open covered myself in olive oil and sugar and coffee scrub made with 2tablespoons sugar half whit half raw , 1 tablespoon coffee and mixed in pure virgin olive oil scrubbed myself with this but realise now should do this at the end , so have a shower while in the shower and still hot cover yourself with a 40 % glycolic peel i bought mine from glycolic solutions on ebay reasonable prices very lol. leave for about a minute to 2 minutes wash off in shower use glycolic toner from same company to neautralise , and then the miracle occured after having ashower i covered my face in a product i got here in australia called mask in a cup i used the yellow cup which has white and yellow clay mixture , papaya, green tea ,pomegranate and fruit acid in it.well you can imagine my surprio tickle in front of the mirror infront of my eyes i watched the little bug that has dictatcted my life for 10 years appear all over my face popping out thru the clay looking like long worms all over my face all those wrinkles that were not wrinkles i left it for 30 minutes washed it off and i also put it thru my scalp the same as the peels the build up of them behind my ears the back of my scalp and the nape of my next was nothing short of unvbelievable today for the first tiome in ten years i woke up with nothing in my eyes no so called sleep build up no yuk in my nose , i have also beencleaning my nose constantly daily and my ears daily with oils and cerumol , and also rubbing it in my face i think the secret is remving layers of skin to get close enought to the where the bug lives deep in the skin , and i also woke up with no gunk in the back if my throat , i now believe if i treat my whole body in this way i will be rid off it and the i can work on whats left in my environment am changing my clothes to siilky fibres my sheets to silk my washinng to hot washes no chemicals at all and cold rinse believing now creating conditions they love to get rid off them on the outside , i hope this story will help someone even if it only works on one person and has the sense of relief at a light at the end of the tunnel as i have today it will be worth having shared . thank you

Re: demodex mites
Welcome!
I'm very glad that the routine worked for you, but I would caution everyone that a) glycolic acid is generally not good for rosacea skin and b) 30-40% is a very high concentration, especially to be using at home.
Also, demodex mites cannot be seen by the naked eye, they can only be seen under a microscope. While they do have a slightly elongated body, according to wiki, they do not resemble worms....

Re: demodex mites
This is my first post. Hope I'm in the right place. I've had excellent health my entire life. January 2018 I celebrated my 70th birthday. July 2017 I developed a rash underneath my nose which the dermatologist diagnosed as Rosacea. No tests were made. Dr. prescribed Metro Gel only. Less than three weeks later My entire face was swollen and red. Just before the episode I felt as if I was getting the flu and my face was hot to touch. Then came the mites. Research on this site with hours of reading led me to Doxycycline. Managed to get my primary physician (appointment with dermatologist was 3 months out) to prescribe the Doxycycline 100 mg. I took 200 mg for 30 days and dropped by to 100 mg daily, which I still take. Slept at night with an ointment made with butt paste, Nustock (73%sulfur) and essential oils. Did this for four months! Changed sheets, pillow cases and blankets daily. Modified my diet. Became a recluse. Went from someone that had beautiful skin to someone I didn't recognize. I have ocular Rosacea as well. It has been a horrible experience. Shocking to go from excellent health and beautiful skin to what is happening to me now. It was a 24 hour a day ordeal. January 5, 2018 I was able to sleep through the night. Now change sheets every other day. BUT, the next horror has begun. January 14, 2018, my entire head (scalp) began to swell and both ears. I thought my ears would burst. Scalp and ears were hot, but temperature was normal. I feels mites still on my scalp and eyes. I have a scaly scalp with raised patches. Two days ago a small, painful, fluid filled sore raised up. Shampooing today it burst and is now a scaly patch. There is no itching, only pain and burning sensation. I'm searching for something to help. Unable to get back into the dermatologist I encouraged my primary physician to prescribe Selenium Sulfide 2.25% with urea and zinc pyrithione. I used that for about 5 days. I used Selsun Blue and just today received my order of Neutragena T-Gel with zinc pyrithione. I haven't yet used it. I have always had thick, beautiful hair. My hair did begin to fall out, but my hair is so thick that it isn't a problem so far. My hair has stopped falling out, but with all this action on my scalp now that may change. I'm exhausted. I've always considered myself a survivor, strong and willing to work at taking care of myself. And, work I have done since July 20, 2017. If anyone has any suggestions about getting my scalp situation managed I will try it. Tomorrow I plan to seek an appointment with the dermatologist. It would be good for her to see this and perhaps she has some help for me. My dermatologist is now trying, but wasn't as helpful in the beginning. My optometrist was shocked when he saw me during a severe episode with my eyes and face. He was a real hero. He said he had never seen anything like my situation. I had missed only a couple of days of Sunday church for five years. I haven't attended church since the last Sunday of July 2017! My life is now under the control of Rosacea. Thank you for any input and for all prayers.

This is an addendum to my original post. To date (1/30/18), the skin on my face is in good condition. I have ocular rosacea, as well as scalp issues now. I can wear makeup on my face now for short periods of time. Makeup causes my ocular rosacea to flare.
I use castor oil on my eyelids which helps. I wash eyelids first with Thera Tears Stiri Lid, which contains tea tree oil in it. The demodex mites do not like castor oil.
I did get great results using Coleman's dry mustard on my skin. I mix equal amounts (1 teaspoon dry mustard and water) water and dry mustard. Allow mixture to set for 10 minutes, which activates it. I add a teaspoon of shampoo or body wash. Shower from head to toe and then add mustard mixture from head to toe while skin is still damp. Mites will come out of your skin. Rinse off and apply coconut oil to skin. I also have done this to my face, but applied very lightly as it is very strong.
I still have issues with my scalp and with my eyes.
If anyone has any suggestions about treating the scalp please post. Or eyes.

2nd addendum. Also, I have mites around my nose. The nose is where it began and where it continues to be. My nose itches during the day and at night I feel crawling around the nose area. HELP anyone.

Re: demodex mites

My treatment is now eating clean, whole foods as much as possible. For my face, Metronidazole 1% and Soolantra 1%, Cetaphil facial cleanser and Image Skincare Prevention + daily protection moisturizer 50 SPF. For my eyes, Systane Ultra eye drops, Thera tears with Tea Tree Oil and Doxycycline Mono 100 Mg tablets. The depression that has surfaced is Cympbalta 60 Mg. March 2018, I began therapy to assist me with coping with the emotional side effects of Roasacea. Please know you will be emotionally impacted as well.
