I just wanted to share what worked for me. I had rosacea for 10 years or so. I had the kind with pimples and also eye irritation. Dermatologists tried pretty much every kind of prescription on me. The only thing that really worked was 100 to 200 mg of doxycycline per day. My rosacea would clear up and then I would quit the doxycycline. Of course it would eventually come back no matter how careful I was avoiding the triggers. I was also getting breakouts on my neck and chest. I started going to a new dermatologist and she started me on Sulfacleanse 8/4. It's a cleansing product. I can say that for me it was kind of a miracle. After a week or so, my rosacea hasn't bothered me at all. I've been off doxycycline for about 8 months now. There's a couple of things to know though. With the name Sulfacleanse, you can imagine it doesn't smell very good. Also, you have to avoid washing around the eyes. Your eyes will start stinging if you do. Sulfacleanse 8/4 is generic so with my insurance, it was free.
