Does anyone have any effective treatments to eliminate red blotches on the cheeks and also general redness of the cheeks and nose? My dermatologist told me that nothing will get rid of the redness except for laser or IPL treatments, but even those won't completely eliminate the redness and it might not even make a significant difference.
I'm just wondering if anyone has had success with eliminating or reducing the redness through any treatment, cream, mix, etc that preferably is not as expensive as laser treatments. My face is becoming redder each week with new blotches and broken capillaries and I'm trying to not let it affect my self esteem but it's hard
. Please let me know of anything that works!!!

I have used calamine lotion to calm my face down. I bought a concealer last week and it hides my redness and hasn't upset my face so far. I feel normal, now that I can hide the redness. I'm also taking flax seed oil to work in the inside, but I ruined all my steps forward by getting too hot lately. Concealer coming in handy today.

I have used metrogel and finacea as I get the pand ps associated with rosacea. I do notice that both work with reducing redness but not broken capillaries or veins. Laser treatment, I think is your only answer to remove permanent redness and broken veins. But as Blue Fire pointed out, there are concealers etc to disguise the redness.

I bought facial cleanser, cream, green tinted sunblock and makeup from the Bonton that is made for Rocesea. It is Clinique brand. Pretty expensive. I think it was around $140.00 for all of it. So far my skin is doing well and the conceler really covers my red nose.
