I've read some stuff about not using soap in the shower. As an experiment I stopped using soap a few weeks ago, don't smell, no problems.
I am a 74 y.o. white male in excellent health, dx of rosacea some years ago, nothing seemed to help. I shave with a razor, so I've always washed my face w/ soap (or shampoo). I've stopped using soap on *most* of my face. I now soap up my face avoiding the rosacea areas (mostly either side of my nose), then apply shaving foam (which is NOT soap, as far as I can figure). Rosacea seems to be getting better.
I greatly reduced my use of soap, seems to be helping
