Has anyone tried Selenium?

Sometimes `off the wall' or experimental treatments for rosacea emerge. Often they are not yet FDA approved or not seen as suitable by doctors. This forum is a place for you to explore these sorts of treatments.

Has anyone tried Selenium?

When I first used oral antibiotics (metrodinacole) I suffered from folliculitis on the back of my head ans P&P rosacea on my nose (both cleared up thanks to the antibiotics). To combat the folliculitis I also used Selsun shampoo, which has selenium sulfide in it. I still used it every other day and it does a great job in reducing inflammation/pimples on the scalp.

So I was wondering: Could it also help for rosacea? Has anyone tried any cream, lotion etc?
