Re: New treatment not working, advice?

Yes, I really do not think the inconvenience of taking medication twice or three times a day vs once a day warrants hundreds of dollars. "Oh my, I can barely lift this pill. What a struggle!!" ha ha! I remember that there was a tablet I could break up. It doesn't matter, but I think it was...

Re: New treatment not working, advice?

LoisAnne: Regarding the Finacea, it is known to be very good for breakouts. It has also made my skin less sensitive. Your dermatologist might be very pleased to have you try it, as I do think they tend to see good results overal with it. My dermatologist told me that he much prefers Finacea over the...

Re: New treatment not working, advice?

Hi there: I really scaled back on the time and effort given to my skin when it became clear to me that the Finacea and Oracea worked so well. These two medications have done the trick for my rosacea and for now I have stopped using RLT. When I have more time (someday?), I will probably use RLT again...

Re: New treatment not working, advice?

That reminds me that I did just apply it once a day for a long time because I thought twice a day would be too much for my skin. I can now tolerate twice a day no problem.

Cheers!

Re: New treatment not working, advice?

Cathy you are too funny "I can't!!" he he he! And, wow, thanks for letting us know how to get the savings card ourselves. My dermatologist's office must get them through the same deal to pass out to patients. So good of them to think of that! I remember that my skin slowly continued to imp...

Re: New treatment not working, advice?

You are probably right about needing moisturizer since the Finacea is drying. I like Vanicream (the cream version, not the lite version). It's similar to Cetaphil cream, but is more gentle on my skin. Finacea really is drying, so a good thick cream might be better than a lighter lotion. I also sugge...

Re: New treatment not working, advice?

Did the doctor or nurse tell you that irritation for the first few weeks using Finacea is normal? My face felt like it was on fire at first and it caused breakouts, but I am sooooooooo glad I stuck with it because, after the initial adjustment period, it changed my skin for the better (MUCH better)....
