A recent Rosacea News post listing the some preliminary user reviews for Clinique Redness Solutions was unclear on whether the Urgent Relief Cream contains cortisone.

Well the answer is yes, it does. This would suggest that this product is not suitable for long term use for rosacea sufferers.

It is not a surprise that a product that claims up soothe upset skin would contain cortisone. Cortisones have been the mainstay of dermatology relief products for many years.

Thanks to ratherbquiltn here are the full listing of ingredients for the Redness Solutions range.

Thanks for the info, the ingredients were not on Cliniques homepage. I´d also like something for my sensitive rosacea skin without siloxane and (cetaearyl) alcohol, glycerine! Why do they have to spoil all good and natural ingredients with this crap 🙁

  2. Lydia says:

Thanks for info on your site. I suffer from mild rosecea and because Clinique do not display ingredients properly I tried the whole redness solutions and felt like I had severe sunburn on my face! Claims to be soothing and cooling to red sensitive skin, try the opposite! This stuff is awful!

    • Mary says:

Omg, the exact same thing just happened to me too! I experienced a full blown allergic reaction, even the palms of my hands in which I used to apply this product are feeling hot to the touch and itchy. What did you do to relieve these symptoms, besides stop using it?

  3. MATT says:

It is always suspicious when a company refuses to put the ingredients of their products on their website. What are they trying to hard. Does the daily relief cream has a hydrocortisone

  4. Eva says:

Distribuyó SKINCERITY excelente para aliviar rosácea sus únicos activos son la vitamina E y los antioxidantes del aceite de la semilla de uva eva.villarreal@live.com

  5. Stephanie says:

I’m allergic to titanium dioxide and that is a mainstay in the Clinique lineup. It burns my face almost the instant it touches it.

  6. Jessica says:

Well I have Rosacea and have done for couple of years, I have tried lots of things to try an help it from pils to lotions to homeopathy and cutting certain foods out, some have helped but nothing as good as the Clinique redness solutions range. I had been meaning for a while to try it but as quite expensive I was a bit reluctant incase it didnt work an I wasted money. Anyway 5 days ago I asked about it an the lady was v helpul an gave me 3 sample pots, cleanser, moisturiser and foundation in colour she matched on my skin. I have only been using them 3 days and am amazed how much it has helped. Cooled an soothed skin, redness with no make up is down a good 50% already! And the foundation really covers. It feels like an looks like it is really helping an not just covering. Very very happy an ordered full size products plus the pressed powder.
