Cleansing Rosacea Skin
The very first step in caring for your rosacea skin is to find a gentle cleanser. The gentle action of syndets and lipid free cleansers are a good choice for rosacea sufferers. These don’t alter the pH of the skin like a pure soap will. Harsh surfactants can damage proteins and disrupt lipids in the stratum corneum and thus contribute to epidermal barrier dysfunction. Two favourites worth considering are Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser and CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser.
