ZincO, Vita-Oil and Oatmeal Cleanser available again soon

Following is an announcement from Rosacea Care.

EXCITING NEWS

We have just received word that four products that have been important to many rosacea sufferers will be available again later this spring. By arrangement with the originator of these products, the Rosacea Care Company will be manufacturing and distributing ZincO, Tinted ZincO, Vita-Oil and Oatmeal Cleanser.

The formulas will be exactly the same as the originals, and they will be manufactured by the same laboratory. They will appear as part of the Rosacea Care catalogue with a slight increase in prices. These much loved products will be available on-line at rosaceacare.com.

I have been asked to tell you that the exact release dates have not yet been established. Please don’t contact Rosacea Care at this time. As soon as availability dates are known, they will be posted here and on their web site. Thanks to all of you who participated in our recent poll which provided valuable information and encouragement to those involved.

Thanks

#28114 Maria on May 26, 2009 at 10:34 AM

Ug, I have been without my zinco for several months. My nose has become perpetually red. I am so excited that zinco will be available again.

#28123 Melissa on May 27, 2009 at 6:48 AM

For clarification purposes, the Sunscreen 30 on the Rosacea Care website is NOT the ZincO that you are referencing in this post? I want to verify before I purchase! Thanks!

#28126 David Pascoe on May 27, 2009 at 9:22 AM

Yes the Sunscreen 30 and ZincO Cream are different products – although they both use zinc oxide as their main active ingredient.

I really wish the Oatmeal cleanser would be released soon! I’m hating trying to find a replacement. It’s not possible! Thanks.

#28202 Peter on June 3, 2009 at 2:26 AM

Rhonda is unfortunately correct. There is no replacement for the Oatmeal Cleanser. Nothing else even comes close.

Hoping as well that the release happens soon.

#28207 Jarrod on June 3, 2009 at 8:30 AM

Just signing up to be notified when zinco becomes available. Thanks

#28221 Barbara on June 3, 2009 at 8:12 PM

So ready to try.

#28287 Jacky on June 9, 2009 at 3:25 AM

Please let me know when tinted zinco and the oatmeal cleanser are available.

Thanks

#28298 Barbara on June 9, 2009 at 8:53 PM

Thanks to all who are getting my favorite Linda Sy products back. Please let me know when I can order.

#28307 Libby on June 10, 2009 at 4:45 AM

I’m down to the last bit of ZincO and I’m getting scared. It’s the ONLY thing that tones down the redness, doesn’t break me out and keeps the sun off my face. Please, please, please bring back this product. Both the tinted and untinted!

#28314 Rhonda on June 10, 2009 at 11:04 PM

I noticed that the original announcement states that the products will be available late Spring. We’re now into Summer, and yet no products. It also seems like only one product will be released, at a time. I REALLY need the oatmeal cleanser! :-(

#28405 Rhonda on June 19, 2009 at 3:33 AM

Just wanted to share this with anyone who loved the Oatmeal Cleanser. I found cleanser similar in idea, but it seems like it might even be less drying than Linda Sy’s cleanser. It’s from Purified Skincare and here are the ingredinents:

aqua (water), colloidal oatmeal (avena sativa), USP vegetable glycerin, d-dexpanthenol (skin active b5), decyl glucoside, sodium hyaluronate, phenoxyethanol, xanthan gum, tetrasodium edta, d-calcium pantothenate

I just ordered it, because I need something, and I’m getting impatient with the release of the Oatmeal Cleanser on rosaceacare.

Sorry, the website for Purified Skincare is http://www.purifiedskincare.com. And, I am NOT affiliated with them in anyway. I saw this cleanser mentioned on makeupalley.com. Based on what I was reading on the product page of purifiedskincare.com, it’s good for rosaceans.

#28415 DT on June 19, 2009 at 10:24 AM

It’s sad to read all of these posts from people desperately waiting on Linda Sy products. It’s evidently not clear as to what product(s) is going to be released when (other than they’re getting ‘close’ or an announcement will be made ‘soon’). If anyone has success with the purified skincare cleanser, please let the readers know so we can try a product that can relieve our issues now. Thanks.

RosaceaCare has just announced that Vita-Oil Release Next Week. Tinted ZincO in July.

#28426 Rhonda on June 19, 2009 at 8:49 PM

Mike L,

I have not tried the Purified Skincare cleanser, yet. I ordered it , yesterday. Once I’ve used it, I’ll definitely be sure to post my results. It looks VERY gentle, and I’ve heard great things about it. For now, it looks like the best alternative to the Linda Sy Oatmeal cleanser. It also appears as if it will be less drying. Hope this helps.

Rhonda :-)

#28427 Jen on June 19, 2009 at 8:51 PM

I’m on my third order of Purified Skincare’s oatmeal cleanser. It’s more calming and much less drying for me than Linda Sy’s. (I have very dry and easily irritated skin – with periodic redness). It doesn’t really foam and has a high amount of colloidal oats. It’s smells like sweet oatmeal.

BTW: It’s called Cleanse-Soothe-Hydrate
HTH

#28429 Rhonda on June 19, 2009 at 11:45 PM

Thanks for posting this, Jen! I am really anxious to receive it then. I hope it works as well for me, as it has for you. I loved Linda Sy’s, but my skin is drier now, so the Cleanse-Soothe-Hydrate sounds like a better choice, anyway.

#28430 Deborah on June 20, 2009 at 1:02 AM

I have only a little more Zinco cream left. Can’t wait to hear that it is available for purchase again.

#28432 Linda on June 20, 2009 at 1:28 AM

Has anyone tried the Purified Skincare tinted sun-zinc?

#28437 Jen on June 20, 2009 at 2:53 AM

Purified Skincare’s cleanser doesn’t have a fragrance. I can’t tolerate any fragrance either. The scent is from the combination of colloidal oats and I guess the glycerin.

#28438 Wendy on June 20, 2009 at 3:49 AM

I’m still using the “superfatted” soap from Linda Sy from some years ago. I tried the oatmeal cleanser for a while but didn’t really think it cleaned as well. Has anyone found another “superfatted” soap that works for rosacea? Thanks.

#28456 DT on June 21, 2009 at 5:04 AM

I live in the South – very hot & lots of humidity during the summer months. Any recommendations for a cleanser that won’t exfoliate & yet not leave my skin too shiney? The rosacea has left me with large pours too. I never tried Linda Sy’s vita oil moisturizer & I’m thinking I don’t need more oil. I also never tried the tinted ZinCO – will that be too oily given my location & type of skin? Anyone else out there from the South? All comments appreciated.
Much thanks.

#28459 Sue on June 21, 2009 at 7:36 AM

yay! I live in Australia & will be extrememly pleased when the tinted Zinco is available again…

#28512 Paulina on June 25, 2009 at 1:25 AM

My mother uses the Purified Skincare cleanser with good results. She has dry skin that is sensitive to just about everything.

I use their Sun-Zinc15 sunscreen and like it. I don’t use their cleanser because it’s not strong enough for me.

#28563 Linda on June 28, 2009 at 9:09 PM

Vita Oil is available. No word on Zinco.

#28600 Rhonda on June 30, 2009 at 10:38 PM

Mike L,

I have only used the Purified Skincare cleanser a few times, so far. I think it’s much less drying, and more gentle than Linda Sy’s Oatmeal cleanser. I hope that helps some. As I use it for a longer period of time, I can post my results, etc. I, too, tried the Toleriane Dermo-Cleanser and didn’t like it. I have used, and liked, Mary Kay’s Creamy Cleanser 2. I get it new on eBay (less money that way!).

RosaceaCare has announced that “Tinted ZincO will once again be available and ready to ship throughout the world on Friday, July 17, 2009. On-line purchases can be made in advance of that date by visiting our website at rosaceacare.com. The price for the three-ounce tube is $ 38 US.”

#28821 Rhonda on July 9, 2009 at 8:26 PM

Mike L,

I have tried all of the cleansers you’re mentioning. I think the Linda Sy and Aveeno Ultra Calming were a little too drying for me. But, my skin tends to dry out easily. Someone with less dry skin will probably do well with both. As far as the Purified Skincare, my skin reacted, but I think I have issues with Decyl (Poly)Glucoside in cleansers. Right now, I’m using Mary Kay Creamy Cleanser 2 with some succcess. Still not a perfect cleanser, but it’s something my skin will tolerate, which has been a huge challenge for me. If my skin was oilier, I think I would use the Aveeno Ultra Calming. Hope this helps.

When will the non tinted ZincO be available? Any idea?

#28832 Michelle on July 10, 2009 at 12:27 AM

Just a big HUGE THANK YOU to everyone involved in making tinted Zinco available again. My skin is literally SAVED. I ordered 2 tubes today. Bless you!!!!!!

#28833 Steve B on July 10, 2009 at 12:38 AM

$38 plus $6 shipping for 3oz of Zinco!?!? And only a 20 SPF!?

Is this stuff really that good??

#28835 Libby on July 10, 2009 at 1:10 AM

Yes, I second Michelle’s thank you. Indeed, all the work that’s been put in is so appreciated. My ruddy face is smiling again! :)

#28860 DT on July 10, 2009 at 8:53 AM

I’ve never tried the Tinted ZincO. Is this a product for someone who lives in the deep South where it’s HOT with a lot of humidity? I’d like to hear from someone who’s had great success with using it in the Houston, TX area. All replies would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

#28861 Libby on July 10, 2009 at 9:57 AM

DT,
I live in New Orleans. You can’t get much hotter or humid than here. And I wear both the tinted and untinted ZincO. It’s not oily or greasy. It definitely has a slight sheen to it, but it’s barely noticeable. I wear it everyday. And, i wear it over my moisturizer which is jojoba oil…yes, even in New Orleans!! Hope this helps.

#28872 Rhonda on July 10, 2009 at 8:30 PM

So, the Vita Oil and Zinco have been released? I wish we all knew when to expect the cleanser’s release!!!

#29194 Peter on July 25, 2009 at 12:20 AM

To Rosacea Care:

Thanks for releasing the Vita-Oil and the Zinco Cream.

We really would love to know the release date of the Oatmeal Cleanser, and that it’s soon .

Thank you.

#29244 Keith on July 26, 2009 at 3:38 AM

I just bought my Zinco from Rosaceacare. I can’t wait for it!

#29761 Libby on August 18, 2009 at 4:47 AM

Are they going to make the untinted(white) ZincO??? Anyone?…Anyone?….Bueller?….Bueller????

Please let me know. Thanks!

#29919 DT on August 30, 2009 at 10:10 AM

I ordered & started using the tinted ZincO 2 weeks ago & it’s awesome. I used to use Linda Sy’s Sperior Cream. Did anyone use that Linda Sy product? If so, have you found an alternative that you’d recommend? Much Thanks.

#29939 David Pascoe on August 31, 2009 at 10:33 AM

Comment via email from Janet.

“Hi,

I have just run out of Linda’s Superior Night Cream too. I haven’t tried anything else but thought I would order the night cream from Rosacea product line. It would be great to hear if anyone has tried the Rosacea cream and if they liked it.”

#30403 DT on October 3, 2009 at 7:07 PM

Any update on availability of Linda Sy’s Oatmeal Cleanser? I never received a response about Linda Sy’s Superior Night Cream. If anyone used the Night Cream & found a good alternative – Rosacea cream? If it’s working please let me know.
Thanks
