I asked my Dr. for samples of promiseb. I was given 2 VERY small tubes – nurse told by pharmacy rep it was enough to last 2 weeks. NO WAY. I used the 2 small tubes but did not feel I’d had enough to really test it out. I asked for an rx for a 3 mo. supply (cheapest way under our ins). I got 3 small tubes – expensive even with ins. I have so much trouble with seb derm (blessed with lots of rosacea flushing too). I really want to find a non steroid that works. I gave it 3 weeks on the next area of breakout and sadly, it did not work for me. When totally clear, I’m thinking of using up the rest kind of like a moisturizer on the areas I frequently have the seb derm and see if it can help prevent since, for me, it does not help cure.

Best I’ve found so far is Desonate at night, Xolegel in the a.m.. When the red and inflamed seb derm has calmed to just the flaking, the Xolegel handles that well.

I was given some Sebclair and almost as soon as I used it the redness and itching died down, and although i still have some of the symptons, my skin is in the best condition it has been in a long time. Unfortunately I don’t know where you would be able to get this yourselves but when you do find it, try it!

Thanks Margaux, I felt sure it would surface soon. Please do let us know how you get on. It looks like the Promiseb Prescribing Information is also available online on the Promiseb web site. I want to pronounce it Promise-b, but I guess because of "seb" in the name is would be said Promi-Seb ... davidp.

I have seborrheic dermatitis and was just given a brand new cream called: Promiseb put out by: Promius Pharma.
It contains the exact active ingredients as your website de-
scribes in Sebclair! I have no idea how much it is, but I’m sure it’s exspensive. It comes in 30g tubes. (I was given samples) I will let you know how it does.

I don’t think it is, Atopiclair is for those with Atopic Dermatitis and Sebclair is for those with Seborrheic Dermatitis.

Well based on my reading, yes it is the same thing. I haven’t found an official statement saying that it is, but according to my reasons above I’m pretty confident.

If someone finds something more definitive than my detective work above, please do let us know.
