Hi Joyce,

Thanks for you comment. It is great to think that such an easily available and cheap treatment has been effective for you - well done!

I am 70 years old and have been figting rosacea for about 25 years. I ruined my stomach with tetracycline, and minocycline (sp?), taking them for years. I used the expensive Metro-Gel and Finacea, one morning and one nightly for years. I used Clindagel. All RXs. Once my dermatologist had a compound made for me. My rosacea was always there, and I would think, maybe it would be worse if I didn't do something, so I kept trying. Lastly, I had stopped going to the doctor (a top one in the country) and kept using my Metro-Gel and Finacea when my rosacea became severe. A pustule would last for months. My granddaughter told me about Prosacea. I used a tube and could see an improvement. I bought a second tube and when I wake up, my fase isn't red and at this moment I don't have one bump except on the top of my nose. I am starting my third tube. I am thrilled to have found this product. I don't believe my rosacea just went away, I am sure it is the Prosacea. I found this website trying to research sulfur to see if it is the same as sulfa drugs. I had a severe reaction to Bactrim (given for my rosacea). Even so, I have had no side effects at all from Prosacea. And to think, it only costs $10.00. I think my 90 day supply of Metro-Gel and Finacea was several hundred dollars (which my insurance paid).

2 days and it seems to be working well, does anyone think there's a problem using some jojoba oil to moisturizer about 20 mins after i put the prosacea on?

Hey all, I have been using prosacia for roughly 1 week and the redness and irritation have simply vanished. I think the problem for some people using this product may be overuse of it. I wash my face with a gentle bar (cetaphil) in the morning and always apply the cetaphil face lotion immediatedly thereafter. at night I wash it one more time followed by a thin coat of prosacia. That treatment has worked wonders for me. This should work for most! Remember, wash your hair everyday too.

I like how the people who did not get good results claim those of us who did are getting paid by Prosacea to post positive reviews. lol I'm just a regular person and I didn't try everything under the sun before I tried Prosacea, but I did do Metrogel with NO results at all. Prosacea has completely smoothed my skin out. The smell is bothersome to me, but I guess it's worth it for me. The redness is still there, but the bumps are gone, and that was the thing that bothered me the most. I only use it once a day--in the morning. And it's been fantastic. I love it and am so glad I found it. It was recommended to me by a friend.

I think rosacea is just one of those things that is not fully understood (like a lot of skin conditions)--no one really knows what causes it. Also, I think not everyone is actually diagnosed with rosacea, they just self-diagnose. I was diagnosed by a dermatologist so I know that's what I have. And Prosacea works for me. Sorry for those it doesn't work for but just because you are bitter, you shouldn't go around calling the people who it's worked for liars or shills.

Prosacea has so far given me great results for my acne and rosacea. I am 38 and have had acne and rosacea since high school. Various prescription medications, both oral and topical, failed for me. I even tried Murad and Proactiv products. The one Proactiv product that helped me was the clarifying mask (it's like a white, clay mask), but it just wasn't convenient and couldn't be used under my makeup. The clear mask that they just came out with that you can wear under your makeup didn't seem to be as effective as the white clarifying mask. Not sure why since both products contain 6% sulfur.

I remembered from one of my dermatologists visits that she recommended sulfur products if I my skin was able to handle it. Apparently not everyone's skin reacts well to sulfur as evidenced in the comments above. I realized then that the active ingredient in Proactiv's white clarifying mask was sulfur which had worked for me. So I decided to give Prosacea a chance since it also contained sulfur.

And thus I found a product that worked wonders for my extremely oily, acne, rosacea skin. Prosacea not only helped with the redness and acne, but it also left my skin feeling really smooth after applying and helped a lot with the excess facial oil. My makeup goes on like a dream!

I wish that Prosacea would make a cleanser and toner with the sulfur in it. Since this product has worked so well for me and others, I would love to see a full product line. My goal is to one day not be ashamed or embarrassed in showing my face without makeup. Hopefully with continued use of Proscea, that day will come.

Found Prosacea only a couple days ago at a CVS near my house.

After one treatment, half of my face turned into a dry, peeling mass- not something I expected, since I usually have oily (oilyoily) skin. Within 18-24 hours, I had acne underneath the dry patches. Make sense? Not to me- now I have to moisturize and keep my skin clean until this goes away.

I'm afraid I won't be using the rest of this tube, but at least it was an inexpensive experiment... and now I know to avoid sulfur-based treatments.

I just bought some Prosacea and applied it during the day one time, then again at bedtime. In the middle of the night I woke up with my face burning, stinging and itching like mad! I reached up to touch my face and found it covered with a rash. Forehead to chin! That was Saturday night. The rash is almost gone today (Wednesday). I'm so sad it doesn't seem like I'll be able to use it. Was so hoping for help.

In response to JIMMER....you should also check your toothpaste for SLS, which is the substance that makes the lather, whether in toothpaste or shampoo and soaps. Since changing my toothpaste it has helped around my mouth area tremendously. Tom's of Maine, JASON Brite Smile are two that I've used, they're available at health food stores and probably on-line as well.

Now on to PROSACEA....I just saw a commercial on tv and am fact finding at this point. It looks as though more people have had positive results, than not. Therefore, I'm going to give it a try! Can't wait to see if it helps...I'm so tired of looking like a big tomato! Will post back with results.

Y'all have a great day!
