I am a 54 year old female and have been diagnosed with rosacea 3 years ago. Hydrocortisone does nothing for me, it makes everything worse.
If I need a calming mask, I use ricotta cheese, let it dry and rinse off with lukewarm water.
For an astrigent I use green tea. 1 cup in the fridge lasts about a week.
I also discovered that castor oil is helpful over night (use on moist face); it also grows lashes. For the day I use Dermarest which I order thru the internet since our local drug stores do not carry it. If I stay away from spicy food and red wine I do quite well.

Hello Guy,

Should I be a little dubious about your enthusiasm for FrequenSea seeing as you are a distributor of the product?

How long did you try it before signing up to sell it? Don't get me wrong, I'm all for selling something you believe in, but I am still wary of people who use a "personal" story as a marketing tool.

Cheers,
Cassy

I have lived with rosacea since my teenage years and have had my regular doctor look into it a few times when flare-ups would occur, only for him to tell me that "it's pretty common to most people here in the northwest to see the symptoms of rosacea (due to increased humidity and wet climate) - and other than using topicals (like hydrocortisone) you'll have to live with it..."

For years I would apply 2% hydrocortisone cream to my affected areas (near nostrils, sternum, and chin) and wait a day or so for it to subside. The results were slow to take effect and when relief set in, usually it was only temporary.

Last spring, my wife and I came across a natural (certified organic) product that has Aloe Vera, Cranberry, Ginger, Frankincense, Nutmeg, Astazanthin, and interestingly enough - marine phytoplankton (over 220 different species of microscopic sea weed!) in it. I know I'm missing some other ingredients, but the long and short of it is that I no longer have the symptoms of rosacea since I started consuming this "whole food tonic". Not only am I living rosacea free, but I had also noticed that my acid reflux is gone as well! I have had issues with acid reflux since that day (15 years ago) I was kicked in the stomach while sparring with a fellow 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. After a couple sleepless nights battling with acid reflux, I went in to see my doc again, and I was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia. He gave me a medicine (no longer available) called propulsid and I was told it would help "tone up" the herniated muscle tissue around my lower esophageal sphincter (or LES). It helped for about a year, but slowly the symtoms came back. I had to back off of spicy food, alcohol, caffiene, and take antacids to sustain normalcy.

Today, I am thanking my lucky stars that we found the "whole food tonic" that has changed my life for the better (now I can eat spicy food, drink, even laugh! - yes, the acid reflux even prevented me from the simple pleasure of laughing!!!) I know this is not medicine, but I believe that consuming this tonic called FrequenSea (from ForeverGreen) with its high amount of anti-inflammatories as well as a host of other anti-oxidants has helped me with my rosacea and acid reflux where no other food (or medicine) could!

I welcome anyone, anytime, to give me a call or email me if you have questions regarding how this "whole food tonic" called FrequenSea can help you!

Warmest Regards,
Guy Ralstin

Thanks for the comment. Aloe Vera is one of those ingredients that has lots of claims associated with it. It does appear to be good for the skin - just how good it is for rosacea sufferers is something we'd all like to know for sure.

I have tried Aveeno Ultra Calming Daily Moisturizer SPF 15 with feverfew. The product feels nice and smells good but something in it is very irritating to my eyes. I have ocular rosacea and most sunscreens are irritating. I have had more success with the Aloemaxx aloe vera gel. It's soothing and redness on my nose and cheeks has decreased noticably. My skin feels a little tight after I put it on, so I use a moisturizer at the same time. I also take Aloemaxx capsules which I believe have contributed to the reduction in redness.
