Dear Jp and Others,

I do have deep red scars in my eyes i use the petrolum and the boric acid slution you described. But i theye are burrying into my eyes and destroying my eyes completely . Maybe it is easier to destroy them when you have pink eye but not when they are burrying deeper into the eyes it hurts like hell not stinging but felling them bruuying deeper holes. So when i take the solution and the petroleum they are making deeper scars because they want to run away , i ruined my eyes totally . I also can't watch computer or tv without sunglasses becauses also then they are buurrying deeper scars in my exxyes , i hope this will go away . Also the cornea is gone at both eyes because the have destroyed it and that'swhy youhave constantly 24/7 dry , big yellowish eyes full with red deep scars, nd eveytime you want to kill them they are making more problems but when you do nothing they ar also making problems . It is really terrible and i hope this will come to an end soon , but i have no hope in doctors because i went trough eye doctor and regulars doctors 11 times the lost month .

Hello again. I also have these mites entering my eyes at times. I used to get pink eye once a week at one point. But with what I am doing they very seldom get into my eyes to where I have to do something. I did though get pink eye a few days ago from them. What I did was to use my Boric Acid solution to drive them out, and it worked! I mixed one teaspoon of Boric Acid to four ounces of water, and boiled it until it desolved. I applied this solution to the eye with an eye glass. While soaking the eye I rolled my eyeball around a few times. I found this to be effective for me. After doing this a few times that night the pink eye went away very quickly (like overnight). Mike

I don't have rosacea but have struggled with mites in my eyelashes for decades. Was misdiagnosed as having compulsive hair pulling -- but was pulling b/c I felt the mites. Anyway, i've been washing my eyes (carefully) with tea tree shampoo once or twice a day for a few weeks and it seems to be working. My eyelashes are coming back and I rarely feel that "tickle" of having the mites in my eyelashes.

The Sea Salt will redden the eyes but will not damage them.

The Petroleum Jelly is much gentler to the eyes but can be very messy.

Of these 2, I found that the Petroleum Jelly worked faster - but - I ended up covering the bed with a Plastic Sheet (Painter's drop cloth) and I also covered the Pillows with large Plastic Trash Bags. This prevented the Petroleum Jelly from permanently staining these cloth covered articles.

These Mites can only live a couple of weeks, so your perseverance can easily defeat them. Creating an environment that is continuously adverse to their survival will exterminate them. I remember very thickly applying the Petroleum Jelly to my eyes 3 or 4 times per day for about 3 days. I could not see enough to be in public, but then these Mites were also preventing my being in public as well...

I am finding that the Saturated Solution of 100% Boric Acid (Anhydrous) in 100% Isopropyl Alcohol (Anhydrous) has eliminated the surviving Mites from my scalp, has improved my complexion (!) and has no side effects. The excess Boric Acid in my hair may well be deposited on the cloth bedding, providing yet another barrier to these Mites.

The only warning for this Solution is that the Alcohol is Highly Flamable and care should be taken to allow at least 15 minutes for it to evaporate before approaching any open Flames.

I am now virtually - 'Demodex Mite Free'.

has the 'Food Grade' 100% Anhydrous Boric Acid. I don't think that there is any purer grade than this.

At one point, I used the Petroleum Jelly IN my Eyes. Its effect is instantaneous and even though you will not be able to see, the mites will be prevented from surviving once they have been coated with the Petroleum Jelly.

The Petroleum Jelly does not hurt at all and in fact is closer to a Salve which should help heal the eyes. This should be applied at a time when you can keep your eyes closed for several hours.

Don't be afraid to use quite a lot!

I hope this helps.......

Hydrogen Perixide is usually only 3% in a 97% water Solution...

So its effect would be much more like water.

Boric Acid will attach to and bond to Water. If the Boric Acid is inside a Mite then it will pull water from the Mite's metabolism and will dehydrate the Mite, and it has been reported that this dehydrating process disrupts the Mite's metabolism to the point of being lethal.

Alcohol (100%) has no water and will not lessen the effectiveness of the dehydrating ability of Boric Acid.

The purity of 100% Boric Acid is evaluated by the (Anhydrous) lack of water (as 1 type of property). Many grades of Boric Acid have a rather large % of their composition composed of water. While the effectiveness of these lesser grades of Boric Acid/Water can only be evaluated on an individual basis, the purest grades can not be bettered as to their dehydrating potential and are but slightly more expensive.

I have not experienced any adverse drying of my skin by the Alcohol, but as always, everyone is different...

Hi! All,
Could someone explain why it is necessary to use alcohol as the solvent or carrier for boric acid, apart from drying time.. boric acid CRYSTALS dissolve immediately in distilled water.. This can be applied to the facial areas without the associated skin drying action of alcohol, Not Good.. It will still dry but take a little longer leaving the boric acid (BORACIC) on the skin for the mites to ingest.. Contrary to popular belief Demodex Folliclorum is not always buried deep into the follicles..They come to the surface of the skin at night anyway.. Brevis type is.
