the Eucerin Anti-redness neutralising day fluid is the first moisturiser I've ever been able to use in my life and cured all my flakiness (at least all the skin flakiness-the brain still needs work), so I'm loyal to it. Some people don't like the rather dry texture of it, but for Rosacea you need oil free products and I wouldn't use anything else. I use it morning and night after cleansing with Calmin- which is a fantastic cleanser (mainly based on glycerin I believe) you can either tissue it off or wash it off- i wash it off- but you don't have to be so scrupulous so you don;t have to rub your face so much as with some other cleansers.

I've been using Eucerin Anti-redness neutralising day fluid (I think this might be the UK name for it). I have been using it with Calmin cleanser which I wash off (only available on line). Initially I solved the worst of my Rosacea problems by applying lavender oil to my face, which also worked to stop the irritation of my eyes. (I don't know why the lavender worked but it may be that I had som kind of yeast or fungal infection that was causing the rosacea). Now I don't have a problem and people who don't know me often comment that I have good skin, which is always a shock to me because I lived with bad skin throughout my life. My skin is good now but I have noticed that if I eat too much oily fish (which if course expands the blood vessels) then I can still get flushing.

I've been using the Eucerin line for 2 months. I don't use any other products for my rosacea (not even a prescription). The products do not seem to help control any breakouts.

However, I like the cleanser and I will use it in the evenings on nights that I am not doing an oil cleansing routine. The cleanser feels soothing and makes my skin feel soft.

I also use the daily perfecting lotion everyday. I will agree that it does not provide much actual moisturizing, which for me is not an issue. It is really a sunblock and the green tint does help tone down the redness a little bit. It does not get rid of the redness completely, I still need to use a bit of foundation to cover it. The product blends in well despite its initial appearance from the bottle.

If I feel I need extra moisturizing I use the night cream before going to bed. It doesn't feel heavy and has not caused me any issues.

Overall I would review this line as great non-irritating products for people with sensitive skin, but not useful for controlling rosacea on its own.

I love Eucerine products, but their line for rosacea made mine worse. It made my skin burn. I got a full sampling of the whole line from a dermatologist and none worked for me. Apparently I am sensitive to something in their formulas.

Response to Mwanny,

Hey man, i fell ya. Something similar happened to me. Throughout middle school and high-school i would get the occasional pimple here and there, but my facial skin got very bad once i went to college. During my 2nd quarter in freshman year, one day i was outside in the sun and the next day my face was bright red then started to peel, i assumed it was a sun burn or an allergic reaction to the sunscreen i was using, it was weird cuz i never had a sunburn and i lived in the desert cities where summer is like 100+ degrees but after that incident my face was always constantly red especially in the sun or in a heated environment. I'm not sure why it happens, but to this day i get severe facial flushing and my cheeks are always red. i have tried many products and none of them seem to help. they either make my facial skin redder and irritated or gimme sever breakouts. so far i have already spent like 200 dollars on skin care products that are just no good.

I don't have rosacea, but few years ago,my forehead broke out so bad from something I ate. I tried so many products to clear my face, but I ended up irritating my face badly. Now for 2 years or more have been having a problem any time I go to the sun or stay in a house where there is heat. My cheeks turn red and feel like am burning. No pimple at all, my face is very clear only the irritation. Does anyone advice me what to use. Dermatologists have visited but thru are not of any help. Am very careful on what I put on my face that will not irritate me. Any advise? Thanks in advance. Mwanny!

I have been using the eucerin redness relief products but noticed recently that my face was redder than usual with my rosacea. I purchased Clinique urgent care relief and was shocked to see that within 1 day my redness was completely gone! Clinique redness relief line is definately for me.

Hi, can any one that used the Eucerin redness relief cleanser can tell me that is it normal to feel like a cold, minty sensation on my face for like a long time after using the cleanser?
If so could you email me the response? @h.yu.mike@gmail.com

I was just recently diagnosed with rosacea when I was at the dermatologist for something else, he causally said you know you have rosacea right? Well I didn't but I did realize I had a sunburn that wouldn't go away and that I had really sensitive skin! Anyhow, he prescribed me MetroGel 1% which I found worked almost immediately but dries out my skin so I need to but a good moisturizer over it. But he also told me to use Avene redness relief cream as it has a gentle sun block in it. It also has a green tint but is very gentle to the skin. I do like it but I must be sure to wash it off at night as, with all sun screens, it will clog my pours.

It won't cure your skin but it may help :) Now if only I could find a decent make up for rosacea - I tend not to wear make up because it is all so irritating, now I know why, so I'm on the hunt for something I can use.

I am a 73 year old CA man. I have had reddish cheeks for many years. But two weeks ago we went on vacation to Nebraska. The second day there I had a trbl breakout as Charles Barkley would say. My cheeks and forehead were all broken out and didn't know what is was. I was lucky to get in to a PA and she said I had Rosacea and I said what in the world is that. Well she filled me in with some of the symtoms and some treatments. I know now there is no cure but there are some meds that help. So 13 days ago she prescribed Metronidazole Gel 0.75%. I applied it twice a day and it didn't seem to do any good till day five. Then I could see some of the breakout starting to dry up. As of today the sores have now disapeared but some redness and some red spots are still present. I think my triggers were from a ointment Clobetasol Prop 0.05% that I had for a rash that was all over my body when I ate a bunch of Edamames (which are like peas) and I put this ointment on the red spots on my cheeks before my trip. Then the first night there my daughter made home made chili that was very stove hot and spicie hot as well. Well the next day is when I was a mess. I think these are the first thing I will put on my trigger list. I have also started eating licorice, oatmeal and blue berries. Face is real dry but I will work on that later. The post have helped Thanks, Tom
