Rosacea cure? Sibo

`Systemic' is just a fancy name for tablets that you take that can affect your whole `system'. Stop in here to talk about antibiotics, accutane and other sorts of oral therapies.

Rosacea cure? Sibo

Postby Mike T on Fri Mar 19, 2010 12:22 pm

Hi

I read a report made a while ago that they got 20 or so people with rosacea and tested there breathe for excess hydrogen or something else forgot know. Anyway they found in the study that all the rosacea volunteers had systemic intestinal bacteria overgrowth.
There is 2 ways to treat this bacteria overgrowth both are oral tablets I think one is cipro and another minizoidal or something. Anyway all the patients responded to one of these oral tablets and were cured for many months were they just took the tablets again in low doses.

I read reviews of people who have tried this with mixed results.

Anyone tried SIBO eradication as a way to eliminate rosacea recently?
Please share your experience because if it has worked for some I am willing to give it a go.
Type sibo in google you will find the study.

Did you type SIBO in our very own search box on the right hand corner?

Here are a few threads on the subject:

viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1196&p=8367&hilit=sibo#p8367
viewtopic.php?f=13&t=982&p=6860&hilit=sibo#p6860

I think that'll do for now...

Thanks Mike. I'm going to look at SIBO as my issue considering I've had IBS for almost 20 years. On top of that I've had NASH and a family history of hypothyrodism.
I'm not sure I can get my doctor to do any testing for me but there is a Naturopath I might be able to go to, to get some help from or at least he might be willing to look at this option. I don't know for sure.
Thanks, I know my next plan of attack.

Np.

If you have hypothyroidism (tests can be done) then there are ways of treating that also. Hairloss from the outer third of the eyebrow is common with that condition.

As long as you have hope you have a chance (yes)

All the best

Hi Mike T.

Yeah, I get tested every year for Hypothyroidism. Nothing as of yet. I got an appointment with a Naturopath in August. Hoping they can find something then. I'm doing some Vega Testing and Live Blood Cell Anaylysis. Some people think this stuff is Qwack but I have to try something. I've also got a doctors appointment in August for burning stomach symptoms. Thanks for the Sibo information. I've been busy right now but I'm going to try to look into it some more and educate myself.
