SkinActives - is anyone still using this with success?

Postby Millie on Tue Mar 16, 2010 12:14 pm

Good Morning! Just had a very bad experience with Mary Kay products, and need to get my face back in control. I have redness, flushing, and lots of cappillaries - teensy bit of sub-derm between eyebrows - and sensitive skin. Recommendations? I used the SA products 4 years ago with some success - any new products out there that have worked?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Millie.
Crabby Cathy used Canvas Base Cream from Skinactives but I think she now uses Cerave. Artist swears by Vanicream. I manage with rosarelief. It's all in the testing.

I used to use the Anti-Inflammatory and Restoration creams (also the Emulator and lipid oils), but after a flare a few years back, they started irritating my skin so I just put them in the refrigerator. I was thinking of trying them again soon, though.

Greetings, Millie. Long time, no hear! (wave)

Sorry to learn that you have had such a terrible reaction to the Mary Kay products. Did you report this to the MK agent? Any response?

So you have: redness, flushing, lots of (visible? broken?) capillaries, a little seb derm between the eyebrows, sensitive skin. Horrors!

How long ago did this happen, and what have you tried so far?

Kind regards,

Aurelia

The Mary Kay rep was great - full return on cash, and she let me keep the products. I passed them onto a friend! I was using the "timewise" products - anti-aging.

Horrors!

Tried ZZ cream 3 yrs ago - great for 3 months, then nothing... Currently trying finacea, so we'll see how that goes. Exfoliate with washcloth GENTLY once or twice a week. Use Aveeno face wash and moisturizer for sensitive skin - doesn't irritate, but doesn't improve condition.

Looking for anti-aging stuff that won't set my face on fire!
