Postby Daisy on Fri Apr 23, 2010 8:01 am

hi got rosacea. small area around my nose on each cheeks that have got worse in 2 yrs. On my nose and few spots on my forehead.

Application 1 - Bloody well stung, feels tight. hope i see an improvement in the morning!
Next day - Looking worse skin looks angrey

Application 2 - Didnt sting to much putting the cream on. Looked in the mirror (x3) and it looks tight
Next day - So much worse today - spots look horrible, four massive white heads and bright red skin on one side of my cheek.

Application 3 - Stung again?
Next day - skin looked worse again, getting down now, feel horrible, went out with out make up as thought going swimming and went somewhere else to pick up my mum - nearly died, look horrible, hate leaving the house in this state with no make up.

Application 4 - Stung again
next day - today its looking better. have one white head on my chin, appart from that skin is improving, spots are getting fainter slowly even in a x3 mirror!!

Sorry to hear this. People often report finding it hard to get started with Finacea. Best of luck to you.

As for no make-up because you were going swimming, I haven't been to a swimming pool in quite a while but used to put on a good coating of liquid foundation to protect my skin from the chlorine. However, I am a very poor swimmer and can only manage breast-stroke with my head up like a turtle, or backstroke, wobbling from one side of the lane to the other, so that was just prevention against getting my face splashed too much by others powering past like proper swimmers. (blush)

In fairness, as well as rosaceans who say that chlorinated water irritated their skin, there have been others who said they found it helped prevent spots ... but nowhere near as many as have said that their skin benefited greatly from swimming in the sea. Since that was usually on lovely holidays, it is impossible to know whether it was the salted water or just being away from the stresses of daily life.

How about you?

Kind regards,

Aurelia
