Try this:

Put a teaspoon of raw honey on the palm of your hand.

Add a tiny amount of water and mix to soften the honey.

Apply to face, massaging gently (including eyelids).

Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry.

The benefits:

No chemicals.

Doesn't irritate your eyes.

Conditions your skin, naturally.

Where to find raw honey:

If you are in the US, enter your zip code here: http://www.localharvest.org/search.jsp? ... =0&but.y=0

International honey and beekeeping associations: http://www.honeyo.com/org-International.shtml

You'll be able to find raw honey at your local health food shop, however, the freshest and most inexpensive raw honey comes directly from your local beekeepers. Google using the keywords raw honey, local, beekeepers, farmers' market. Ask around in your area, there are many people who keep bees in their backyards, you'd be surprised.

You can also use raw honey to exfoliate your skin. Here's how to do it: blog/Auburn/gently_exfoliating_with_raw_honey_and_a_microfiber_cloth_b-27.html

What's the difference between raw honey and the pasteurized honey sold in supermarkets? Raw (crude) honey is pure honey straight from the hive that has not been heated. Commercially produced honey is pasteurized to prolong shelf life, this process destroys all of the honey's healing properties.

You are welcome, Lisamouries.

Raw honey works extremely well as a cleanser and is perfect for those with very sensitive/reactive skin who can't use commercial cleansers, as most contain SLS and other substances that cause irritation.

Cleansing with raw honey will help condition the skin but it will not controll seb derm. For that you have to follow this treatment.
