Gently exfoliating with raw honey and a microfiber cloth. by Auburn on Mon Feb 01, 2010 3:28 pm
UPDATE (Feb 17, 2010):
I think I'm going to start doing this every three weeks or even once a month from now on because my skin has stayed smooth for well over two weeks now.

Artist and Crabby Cathy have written several posts about the benefits of using a super soft microfiber cloth to exfoliate without irritating the skin.

This is what I've been doing, once a week, with splendid results:

You need a super soft microfiber cloth (mine are yellow and the mix is 80% polyester and 20% polyamide - just be sure to use one that's velvety soft).

Place a couple of teaspoons of raw honey in a dish.

Wet a corner of the microfiber cloth with lukewarm water and wring it out a bit so it isn't dripping.

hair loss by audrpe on Fri Jan 29, 2010 8:11 pm
Years ago I was diagnosed with Rosacea by a dermatologist. He prescribed a lotion to put on my face. It never really made it much better. When the prescription ran out I just used suntan lotion. Sometimes it helps sometimes it doesn't. I have been seeing my family doctor for a great amount of hair loss. He has referred me to that dermatologist. He just wrote me a prescription for rigaine. So I went back to my doctor and told him I was not happy with what he had told me. I will see another dermatologist in about 1 week. Hair loss does not run in my family. So now I question whether this hair loss could be because of Rosacea. Has anyone ever had this problem? I would appreciate your help in this. (:|

New potential help for rosacea - CPAP? by oregano on Sat Nov 28, 2009 3:17 am
Just curious if anyone else has had the same results with CPAP therapy. My rosacea, which I have had since a teenager -- has improved significantly since beginning CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) treatment for upper airway resistance syndrome. It is still early too tell for sure, but just checking to see if anyone has had similar results.

Mineral make-up: a simply great idea

Mineral make-up, a new kind of foundation, is changing the face of the nation, says Emma Hill.

There's rather a buzz around foundation at the moment. Sales soared earlier this year by 15 per cent according to L'Oréal, and a new kind is causing a bit of a stir – mineral foundation.

Unlike conventional, liquid foundation, mineral make-up is a powder, made from finely ground minerals. The way it's put on is also different. You do it with a brush using a circular, buffing motion, a bit like polishing a table, and it has its advantages.

''I've never li...
