MAKEOVER SITE by Kim on Sun Jul 04, 2010 2:39 pm
Found this neat site. Go to MSN, click on "Lifestyles", click on "Makeover Tool". Now you can take a picture of yourself from your shoulders up, with your hair pulled back and no makeup. Download this picture to your computer. In pink you will see, "Upload a new photo". Now you simply follow the instructions. You can apply concealer, foundation, etc. It helps you match colours to your skin. Have fun. This site has helped me choose better makeup options for hiding my rosacea.

The start by lotusflower on Sun Apr 04, 2010 11:52 pm
At the end of January 2010, I started flushing badly. My face was beet red, hot and was swelling. Decided to take a picture of my face and was shocked to see how red I was. So I went on webmd and started researching flushing and came across rosacea. As I read on I realized it was me! And then realized it explained all my eye problems I had been experiencing all previous summer long. My eyes were dry, eyelids swollen, always felt like there was a eyelash in there. Even saw an eye doctor and got antibiotics that didn't help. But after I took the picture I went to a dermatologist who confirmed rosacea. This has been the longest lasting period of flushing I've had to date. Looking back I can remember a few times I flushed, but it only lasted a short time. So now begins trying to find what works for me. I was on tetracycline for 3 weeks, no results. Then (Oracea) doxcycline 40mg for 3 weeks, no results. So he pushed it up to Adoxa 150mg for 3 weeks, says he sees some results so continue for...

rosacea and hormones by annieoakley6789 on Mon Jul 26, 2010 2:57 pm
I always suffered with slight eruptions on my skin . Right back to my teens but although at the time I thought it the end of the world and felt so ugly on reflection they were just outbreaks... I'd get spots before or during my periods and my face would just clear up when it was that time of the month again !!! I got Rosacea on the onset of my 2nd pregnancy , my daughter Sinead who is now 20 so almost 21 yrs ago !!! I didn't do much about it due to being pregnant so just suffered ! I breast fed my daughter for almost a year and then fell pregnant again and again and again !!! I had 1 pregnancy before my daughters, my son Patrick and although my face broke out slightly in the first 3 months my skin was never as good for the rest of my pregnancy and during breast feeding right up until i fell pregnant on Sinead !!

By the time my 4th child was born and after breast feeding her for 2 years I decided I would look for some help with my Rosacea !! I went down the natural road attending the Naturopathy...

Swollen Nose Tip = Rosacea or Allergies or Both? by cyndipa on Mon Sep 06, 2010 8:14 pm
Hi--I am not sure how to do a basic post. I am new and was diagnosed with rosacea
(the papular kind) although I have had these symptoms for years. I always thought it was
my same ol acne however, turning 50 made me wonder. I used clearasil to dry up the welts
that never really had any infection but I just thought they were pimples on skin that was
mature so they took longer ( alot longer!) to heal. When my nose tip swelled, I thought it
was rosacea and after a month of doxycycline, metrogel and a sulphur lotion, the welts still
sit and my nose swells on and off. Then-- AHA! I realized now that things are getting worse
instead of better and the dry ragweed winds are blowing, I believe it is allergies!! I always
had facial swelling starting late August anyway so I am starting on Zyrtec and my nasal
sprays again. We'll see but already my nose is going down. As for these old welts, I am
hoping they will heal better once I get the swelling down. I honestly don't think the blood
is...
