Welcome to my blog

Here it is. Finally I'm going to document my struggles to keep the skin on my face looking normal. I've been keeping notes and have some photos I've taken so I'm going to clean them up and backdate my blog posts so you can all see and read my trials. Some of you may be familiar with "My Action Plan" forum post where I declared war on Demodex mites. For the first time I'm years I managed to get my Rosacea, Seborrheic Dermatitis and Psoriasis under control to the point that it really wasn't noticeable and I looked normal again.
Then disaster struck in late October as things suddenly flared up like crazy. It was like I'd got things back to the way things were years ago before my skin got bad, then it got bad again all over. After months of suffering and going through the same diagnosis cycle all over again
-> Some kind of reaction, Hydrocortisone treatment
-> Looks like Rosacea, metrogel treatment
-> Looks like Psoriasis, Hydrocortisone and UV treatment
Next would likely be
-> Looks like Seb derm, Nizoral, Hydrocortisone + antifungal, UV treatment

I think I might have found the problem. It's certainly true what I keep seeming to read about doctors, they focus far to much on treating symptoms and not finding the underlying cause. When I first had things flare up years ago I had a very acidic diet and was exercising and sweating a lot. This time around I've been on an even more acidic diet and exercising even more. My internal PH balance has been well out of whack, I think this has been messing up my ability to sweat properly, making the exercise sessions and general perspiration mess my skin right up and lead onto all the other problems.
Now I'm tackling this by having an alkaline diet for a bit, keeping tabs on my ph intake and urine ph. I'm hoping this will clear up my skin again.

Wish me luck!

HM
