The honesty of kids

Permanent Linkby David Pascoe on Mon Oct 19, 2009 4:36 am

Number one son was sitting on my lap on the weekend.

He looked up at me and sad `Dad, what is that red dot thing on your nose ?'

As much as I didn't really want to explain it to a 3 year old, I did manage to say that it was just a pimple.

Hopefully I did it calmly enough to not make him think it was, like, you know an issue for me (;)

Can so relate to this! I've had many a comment from kids about my face over the years. They are straight to the point, which is fine coming from kids, not adults though. When I was a teenager and just had pimples, my young neice asked me why I had red dots on my face. She asked me how she could get red dots on her face too, so that she could be just like her Aunty Jenny. It was very sweet.
