maybe one day a side profession

Permanent Linkby David Pascoe on Tue Nov 03, 2009 5:18 am

I went to a friend's wedding on the weekend. It was just to have a look and see her get married. I thought I'd take a few shots as a gift.

I was shocked to see the official photographer had a film camera, small lens and flash and a manual wind on mechanism.

so anyway I took some shots, out in the bright sun as it was outdoors at 11:30AM. I thought the shots were sweet and bride and her mother are stoked - the bride even asked herself why didn't she just ask me.

At this stage I'm not ready to go professional, but who knows it might be an option one day as a side job.

That's really odd, yes. Let's just hope the guy came up with some decent photos.

Wedding/newborn/pet photography can be very profitable but you have to be VERY patient and understanding (you seem to have those qualities, btw), especially with newlyweds.
Rosacea symptoms: occasional flushing, diffuse pinkness.
Treated seb derm successfully w/ raw honey and virgin coconut oil. Quit eating sugar in Apr 09.
Suplements: Arctic-D cod liver oil + wild Alaskan salmon oil.

Yes patience for sure. Very customer focussed too. Unflappable and good at dealing with all sorts of personalities would help as well. No wonder good ones are hard to find and expensive !
