Gently exfoliating with raw honey and a microfiber cloth. by Auburn on Mon Feb 01, 2010 3:28 pm

I think I'm going to start doing this every three weeks or even once a month from now on because my skin has stayed smooth for well over two weeks now.



Artist and Crabby Cathy have written several posts about the benefits of using a super soft microfiber cloth to exfoliate without irritating the skin.

This is what I've been doing, once a week, with splendid results:

You need a super soft microfiber cloth (mine are yellow and the mix is 80% polyester and 20% polyamide - just be sure to use one that's velvety soft).

Place a couple of teaspoons of raw honey in a dish.

Wet a corner of the microfiber cloth with lukewarm water and wring it out a bit so it isn't dripping.

Rinse your face with lukewarm water, do not dry.

Dip the damp microfiber cloth in the raw honey and apply to your face in gentle, circular motions. Continue dipping in the honey...

My rosacea is caused by hormones not diet, specifically the hot flashes of approaching menopause, but nevertheless my rosacea is greatly improved by this way of eating....

Has anyone heard of Etival Laboratoire Urgen-C. I live in Canada and this is new and only available through Shoppers Drug Mart. It is expensive and may be a cash grab?

Hi Hunkeymonkey, Thanks for the comments. A regular doctor has diagnosed me. I think the dry skin caused the flakey skin. Glad to tell you that what I am doing above has helped a lot. The pimple like things...

If it's flaky are you sure it's Rosacea? Was it diagnosed by a dermatologist or a regular doctor? I've had bad experiences with misdiagnosis :/
