It's me again. The derm also gave me Clarifoam to use before the Halog. How hard is it to stop using the Halog? I have two weeks to use it and then stop. I don't want the rebound effect. I guess a gradual weening would be best.

Anyway, you should see my face today. It is at least 70% better. I'm glad I stopped trying to treat myself and went to the derm. He diagnosed me with rosacea and seborrhea.

I went to the derm today and he recommended CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser and CeraVe PM facial moisturizer. He also gave me Halog for flare ups which has some cortisone in it. I hope this combination works. My skin is too red for words.

I spoke too soon. It was great for a couple of days. But this morning I woke up with a bright red burning face. Help! I think it was the Prosacea. What do you do for a major break out?

I think I found my hg in skin care for my rosacea. I wash with CeraVe facial foaming cleanser, follow with Prosacea, and finish with CeraVe facial moisturizing lotion AM. In two days, I look almost human again.

stop with your rosacea people!okay i have my story its about pimples! okay i hAd pimples nd i tried almost everything, deyy would never take my pimples off maybe just one but then another one wil come out i was happy but then mad at the same time because it would just damage my 13 year old skin.so i was planning that if i should buy proactive but then my friend said it didnt work so i changed my mind. cerave actually worked for me because it's noncomedogenic, and thats good for acne proned skin. so im really happy with the results and i dnt need to put concealer anymore and look dry i could now show OFF my face with my natural color and be fresh and natural. so if theirs any teens out their and adults dis may not work for all but it worked for me!TRY IT DONT BE AFRAID . MY SKIN IS SENSITIVE AND ITS SENSITIVE ENOUGH FOR ANY SKIN PROBLEMS.SO IF THIS DIDNT WORK FOR YOU PEOPLE THAT HAVE BREAKOUTS OR PIMPLES OR ROCASEA! FIND CLEANSERS THAT HAVE :NONCOMEDOGENIC AND NONACNEGENIC.THEY ARE OIL-FREE AND CHECK IN THE INGREDIENTS OF YOUR FACE CLEANSER THAT IT DOSENT HAVE FRAGRANCE BECAUSE THAT WILL KEEP ON MAKING YOU BREAKOUT.SO WISH YOU ALL LUCK:))!BYE<3333

I have what I consider to be moderate rosacea - quite a bit of redness in the nose, cheeks and chin area with it spreading into the jaw area recently. (I do not have the pustules/pimples that can go along with Rosacea.) Also, I have problems with my eyes - the grittiness and dryness associated with Rosacea. I have been using the Finacea cream pretty regularly for about 10 months, but only 1X per day due to the cost of the product. I can't tell if it helps at all with redness, but I think it helps with the texture of my skin. I was starting to get thickening of the skin in some areas. I have been trying to find something that helps with the redness and I read about the CeraVe. So, far I like it a lot. It does not seem to irritate the Rosacea and seems to be lessening the redness. I have also been trying to keep my face really clean, as well as the eye area since I read that mites are more abundunt in Rosacea sufferers. I don't have any recommendations for anyone, since this all seems to be trial and error - but, I hope this info is helpful to someone.

Like others I have spent a lot of $ on products that have initially worked, then aggravated my rosacea after a few weeks or even months. I am now using the Cerave cleanser and lotion twice a day. I also have the jar of cream that I use occasionally. If I do get a break out, I have Noritate and use at night either alone, or under the cream. (Noritate does not dry out my face like Metro-gel)! My face is slightly red, but I rarely have a break out. For make up I use Clinique concealer for any red spots and Bare Minerals from Sephora. I still have to stay out of the sun of course. I have used these products for about a year and am finally happy with my skin. PS, I also use the Cerave jar cream on other part of my body. One of my elbows had been rough and red for many years and now is soft and smooth!! Try it on your feet!! If you live near a Costco, buy the products there, much cheaper. Lee from Michigan.

The CeraVe cleanser is mild, but doesn't get my makeup off. I end up with makeup all over the towel I dry my face with. I'm using Dove cleansing clothes instead. However, I can use the CeraVe in the morning. I guess the CeraVe cleanser would get my makeup off if I used a wet paper towel with it but haven't tried that yet. The lotion would be good for someone with oily skin. If your skin is dry from Retin A or any similar prescrip you'll need the CeraVe cream instead of the lotion.
